Rick is the son of the late Sgt. Major Raymond T. Casey and Frances Jeanette Conner Casey of Princeton. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969 and later earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Management from Concord College and then a Master's Degree from West Virginia University. For the past 16 years he has been employed by the West Virginia State Tax Department as an auditor in the Property Tax Division. Over the years Richard had been a member of the UMWA having worked in the coal mines, worked as a manager of Shoney's in Princeton, Bluefield and Charlotte, N.C. Richard loved coaching his sons and other young people in Little League baseball and football and was instrumental in the construction of Gardner Field. He was an avid supporter of WVU football and basketball. Richard was a member of the Princeton Jaycees and Kiwanis and attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Charles Casey. Richard is survived by two sons, Richard T. Casey Jr. of Princeton and Charles Jeffrey Casey and wife Lesley Schumacher Casey of Sumter, S.C; and a daughter, Robyn Hudgins Belcher and husband John of Blacksburg, Va. In addition, he was adored by granddaughter, Krista Casey Johnson and husband Jason; and grandson, Chad Casey of Johnson City, Tenn; granddaughter, Savannah Casey; and grandson, Preston Raymond Casey of Sumter, S.C; and granddaughter, Shanna; granddaughter, Shanna; grandsons, Zachary and Jakob of Blacksburg, Va. He is survived by five sisters, Joan Casey Ellis Lyons of Richmond, Va., Patricia Casey Basham of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mary Casey Walkup of Buckeye, Frances Casey Knowles of Van Nuys, Calif. and Maureen Casey of Chimaltenango, Guatemala; one brother, Robert Casey of Elkins; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The West Virginia Honor Guard will conducted military services. Following the service, the family will honor his request, and his body will be cremated, and he then will be laid to rest with his father and brother at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on February 10, 2011.²

Born September 1, 1949 at Ft. Belvoir, VA she was the daughter of Frances Jeanette (Conner) Casey of Princeton, WV and the late Raymond Thomas Casey. Mrs. Lyons had worked as a self employed plumber and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church at North Chesterfield, VA. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Thomas and Michael Charles Casey. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Margaret Ellis of Midlothian, VA; one son, Matthew David Ellis of North Chesterfield, VA; companion, Oliver Dillion of Ballard, WV; four sisters, Patricia Ann Basham and husband William Ray of Chattanooga, TN, Mary Margaret Walkup of Buckeye, WV, Frances Knowles and husband Thomas of Van Nuys, CA, and Maureen Casey of Chimaltenango, Guatemala; four grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Steve was born on July 2, 1949 in Flint, MI to Lester Statler and Betty Statler (Sparks). Steve received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University of Oxford, OH, as well as graduate studies in Photogrammetry and Ground Control from The Ohio State University. He held a CPSM (Certified Professional Service Marketer) as well as SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services) certifications. Steve is preceded in death by his father Lester Statler, step-mother Lee Statler, mother Betty J. Sparks and step-father James C. Sparks. He is survived by his most beloved daughters, Christina R. Statler and Allison R. Statler of Logan, WV; siblings Marc Statler and wife Almira of Roanoke, VA; James Sparks and wife Kimberley of Louisville, KY and June Strow (nee: Sparks) and husband Michael of Powder Springs, GA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Nicole Sparks, Brittney Sparks, Jonathan Strow and Alexandra Strow; as well as loving aunts, uncles and many, many cousins.      His Social Security Number was 234-40-9020.⁶ James Curtis Sparks James Curtis Sparks, 79, of Ridgeway Drive, Princeton, who served his country with dignity and honor, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Born December 25, 1928, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ernest & Anna Marie Riley Sparks. Raised in Nemours, he was a graduate of Bramwell High School, was an outstanding basketball player for the school. Mr. Sparks graduated from Concord College and had earned his Master's Degree from Marshall University. Immediately following WW II, Mr. Sparks entered the service with the U.S. Army, during the Occupation in Germany. He has served two tours in Korea with the 1st Ranger Battalion, three tours in Vietnam with the Special Forces units. Mr. Sparks was in the very first unit of the Green Beret, orders given by President John Kennedy. He had received numerous decorations, medals, badges and commendations. His career with the U.S. Army span more than 22 years, having received a Purple Heart, the Soldier's Medal for bravery and the Bronze Star. When he had retired, he had earned the rank of Command Sergeant Major, with the U.S. Army. After his career with the military, he returns to Mercer County, where his leadership was instrumental in the formation of OH-9. Once completed, he was associated with the Department of Human Services; he retired as its administrator for Mercer County. Mr. Sparks was a past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O.E. Lodge # 1457 of Princeton and a member of the Princeton Moose Lodge #1521. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Sparks was devoted to his family, God and his country. He was born January 3, 1957, in Princeton, West Virginia; he was the son of Kenneth and Louise Conner. Greg was a graduate of Princeton High School, class of 1975. He graduated from Bluefield State College with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and after years of hard work he started his own company, Ergo Corporation in Greer, SC. Greg enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding motorcycles, hunting, waterskiing, and spending quality time with his family. Greg loved servicing the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father and uncle. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbie Conner. Left to cherish his memories, laughter and love of life is his caring and devoted wife of 34 years, Mary Katherine Conner; along with their loving children, Gregory Conner II and his wife Ellen of Greenville, SC, Heather Conner of Piedmont, SC, and Brandi Stone and her husband Brandt of Honea Path, SC. Greg is survived by his siblings: Mitch Conner, Kenneth Conner Jr., Rodney Conner, and Cheryl Pressly, along with their spouses and a host of nieces and nephews. on May 27, 2013.²
