Washington, Ky., and Helen Nicolaisen and husband, Al, of Ukiah, Calif; and treasured friend, Peggy Worley and husband, Frank. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 35 years and instrumental in establishing the church library. Prior to becoming ill, she was an avid reader and quilter. Dean and Bea cherished camping trips with dear family friends: the annual church trip to Philpott Lake in the 70s when they often arrived early, along with gospel singing events at Watermelon Park and The Smokies during the 80s and 90s. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church on 1527 Gilford Avenue at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Dale Mullinix officiating. on May 15, 2011.3

Burial was to be in Jacksonville cemetery here. Young Graham also leaves two brothers and five sisters, one of the latter of whom was with him in the accident with an aunt, but both escaped serious injury. Young Graham was unconscious when removed from the wreck. A passenger car Graham was operating collided with a pulpwood laden truck headed toward Radford half a mile from here on the Christiansburg road, according to Sheriff Williams and Charles Gardner, county policeman, who investigated. The truck was driven by Hugh Harman, according to the officers. on January 24, 1942.7

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Hatcher, his son, Jerry Tilden Hatcher, and his parents, Harlow and Emily Hatcher. Left to cherish his memory are his children, David (Darla) Hatcher, Sanford (Teresa) Hatcher, and Alice (Ralph) Hollandsworth, and daughter-in-law, Susan Hatcher, all of Floyd; six grandchildren, Mark (Stacy) Hollandsworth, Bradley Hatcher, Allison (Anthony) Munsey, Ashley (Shayne) Poff, Telena (Riley) Harmon, and Samuel Hatcher; and seven great-grandchildren, Trent, Gavin, Macy, Heath, Tanner, James, and Harlow. During his high school years his passion was playing basketball in which he held a game high record of 51 points for several years. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Carilion Hospice, The Barter Clinic, and Skyline Nursing and Rehab for their compassion and care for our farther during this difficult time. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery in Floyd. on March 4, 2017.4
