Norma Jean Lindsey On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Norma Jean (Jean/Jeannie) Lindsey Dooley passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. She was born Friday, May 28th, 1943, in Tazewell, Virginia. She was the daughter of James Elmer Lindsey and Vireda Pressnell Lindsey. Her family included three brothers Richard, Mike, and Jimmy. She graduated from Tazewell High School in 1961, where she was a cheerleader, basketball player, and a member of the Biology and Pep Club. She had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved animals and had many treasured pets over the years. But most importantly, she loved and was passionate about her friends, family, and the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her beloved daughter, Melissa. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Shannon, her son Michael, and her daughter-in-law Allison as well as her grandchildren Lindsey, Sean, and Sheridan.
