     Glen Hardy Watmore was buried at Cortez First United Methodist Church Columbarium, Cortez, Montezuma Co., Colorado.¹ His Social Security Number was 508-16-2421.⁶ He was born on December 4, 1920 at Shickley, Fillmore Co., Nebraska.^1,6,7,3,4 He married Shirley Belle Wehrman, daughter of William Carl "Billy" Wehrman and Sarah "Mable" Mearns, on March 3, 1943 at Denver, Denver Co., Colorado.^8,1,5,9 Glen Hardy Watmore died on February 16, 2005 at Cortez, Montezuma Co., Colorado, at age 84.^1,6,7 He Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Glenn Hardy Watmore will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21 at the Cortez First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lynn Evans will officiate. His remains will be placed in the Columbarium at the Methodist Church. He was born Dec. 4, 1920 in Shickley, Neb., to John Henry and Lillie Blanche (Ekwall) Watmore. He died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was banker with Dove Creek State Bank, First National Bank in Cortez and Mesa Verde Savings and Loan. He has lived in Cortez since 1980 and retired in 1985. He was a member of the Cortez Rotary Club, First United Methodist Church and the Cortez Elks Lodge. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Shirley Watmore, of Cortez; son, Greg Watmore and wife, Tracey; granddaughters, Kristin Isabelle and Lauren Elizabeth Watmore all of Thousand Oaks, Calif; brother ValDean Watmore of Las Vegas, Nev; sister-in-law, Rubye Smith of Denver, Colo; as well as several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his three brothers, Dean, Donald and Wilbur. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cortez First United Methodist Church at 515 N. Park Street, Cortez, Co. 81321. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Love Fund of the church. Services are under the direction of the Ertel Funeral Home. on February 20, 2005.¹

Mrs. Wehrman was born in St. Louis and lived in Town and Country for more than 30 years. She formerly was an executive secretary for Northern Telecom Inc. in St. Louis. Her husband, Rex Wehrman, died in 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Pratt, Federal Way, Wash., and Debra Sadorf, Arnold, Mo; two sons, Robert L. Wehrman, Kansas City, and William R. Wehrman, Leawood; and 11 grandchildren. on December 10, 1993.⁴

She was born in Wabash County to the late Charles and Maude (Dickover) Tyner. She married Russell L. Howard in Wabash County on Aug. 18, 1929. He survives. She was a 1929 graduate of Wabash High School. She was a member of Treaty Church of Christ and Tri Township Home Ec Club. She volunteered at Wabash County Hospital and Old Pearson's Mill Church Camp. She loved to travel. Survivors include husband, Russell L. Howard; children, Patricia A. Sweet and Chuck (Joyce) Howard, both of Wabash; daughter-in-law, Beverly Howard, Marion; grandsons, David (Linda) Howard, Marion, Doug (Sherry) Howard, Indianapolis, Rick (Debbie) Sweet, Gary (Faye) Sweet and Greg Howard, all of Wabash, and Russ (Jennifer) Howard, Eaton, Ohio; granddaughters, Tammy (Steve) White, Wabash, Angie (Bruce) Moore, Austin, Texas, Tracy (Rob) Martin, Amboy, and Susan (Rick) Alvey, Centerville; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by son, Myrval Howard; three brothers; and a sister. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with Russ Howard, Rick Alvey and Doug Oates officiating. Burial is in Memorial Lawns Cemetery. Mr. Calender was retired from the Carroll County Highway Department. Born in Jonesville, Ky., July 28, 1906, he graduated from Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, Ind., and had lived in the Flora area more than 30 years. He married Ruth Howard in Lincolnville, Ind., on May 24, 1932. She survives. Mr. Calender was a member of First Christian Church and Masonic Lodge 605, both of Flora. Mr. Howard retired in 1986 from Wabash County Hospital, maintanence. He was a member of Somerset Masonic Lodge and Etna Acres Golf Club. Survivors also include two sons, David L. (Linda), Marion, and Douglas E. Sr. (Sheri), Greenwood a brother, Chuck (Joyce), Wabash a sister, Patty Sweet, Wabash five grandchildren, Jamie E., Atlanta, Ga., Angela (Wendall) Veslend, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Wesley Broyles, Michael Broyles, Douglas E. Jr. and Emily R., all of Greenwood. Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday in McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main St., LaFontaine, with Rick Alvey officiating. Burial is in LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. on March 3, 2003.²
