In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters; and three brothers. John was a US Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He spent time in Korea and Hawaii and was honorably discharged in 1962. John was last employed with Heavy Machine, Inc. for 24 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Albans. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and PROUD veteran that will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Harriet Booth; children, Roy W. Booth and his companion, Vicky Huber, of Rainelle, Michael N. Booth and his wife, Jeanette, St. Albans, Thomas D. Booth and his fiancée, Teresa Blatt, of St. Albans; daughters, Deborah Stover and her husband, Harold, of Leon, Jeanette E. Booth and fiancée, John Williams, of St. Albans; sisters, Violet Stover, of Macon, Ga., and Dorothy Rollins, of Tampa, Fla; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Celebration of John's life will be 1 p.m. Tues. Dec. 29, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Abraham Villarrael and Joel Harpold officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar with Military Graveside Rites to be conducted by St. Albans VFW Post 73 and American Legion 6418. Gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. on December 27, 2015.4

Dean served as Corporal in the United States Army from September 1952 to September 1954 on Okido Island, Japan. He attended college at West Virginia Tech and West Virginia University, where he received a degree in Forestry. He married his wife, Violet, and moved to Georgia in 1957 to take a job with Georgia Kraft Company, from where he retired. Dean was an active member at Vineville Baptist Church since 1983. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, Violet Booth Stover and daughter, Belinda Stover. Mize, 85, of Beaver, formerly of Keene, N.H., passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House. She was born on October 6, 1929 at Pluto, W.Va., to Pearl and Ethel Bower Donohoe. After her marriage to Frank Mize, she moved to Keene, N.H. where she spent most of her adult life. She earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Keene State College, and her PhD in Elementary Education from the University of Conneticut. She joined the faculty of Keene State in 1972, where she was instrumental in shaping the teacher education program. She retired in 2004 as a full professor. She also served as Education Department Chair, and Coordinator for Academic Support in the Academic Advising Center. In 1996, she was honored with the Keene State College Distinguished Teacher Award. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mize; sister, Garnet Ballard; brother-in-law, William C. Ballard, and brother, Moody Donohoe. Survivors include brothers, Mason Donohoe and wife Bonnie of Laurel, Del. and Mayo Donohoe and wife Judy of Hinton; nephews, Randy Ballard and wife Debbie of Hinton, Steve Ballard and wife Kim of Daniels, Rick Donohoe and wife Tammy of Seaford, Del., and Bo Donohoe of Hinton, along with their families. She was known for her love of reading, outdoors, and her beautifully cultivated flower gardens. She was a devout Christian who studied her Bible daily. She touched the lives of her family, her many friends, and hundreds of her college students. She will be greatly missed. At her request, her body was cremated and there will be no funeral services. on April 9, 2015.3

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hinton and the Fidelis Sunday School Class at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Ballard and a brother, Moody Donohoe. Born October 28, 1916, in Hinton, he was the son of the late Clayton H. and Ethel Mae Carter Ballard. Mr. Ballard was retired from the State of West Virginia ABC Commission. He was a former employee of the Hinton Taxi Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hinton. Preceded in death by his first wife, Imajean Ballard. Also preceded by three brothers, James, John and Tom Ballard; Three sisters, Mary Andrews, Ruth Lush and Mildred Ballard. Survivors include his wife, Garnet Donohoe Ballard; Four sons, William "Poody" Ballard and wife Janice of Hinton, Charles "Butch" Ballard and wife Janie of Whitemill, Ky., Randy Ballard and wife Debbie of Hinton and Steve Ballard and wife Kim of Daniels; One sister, Shara Shifflett and husband Moffett of Staunton, Va; Grandchildren, Ruth and husband Harold Basham of Jumping Branch, Timothy and wife Linda Ballard of Pennsylvania, James and wife Rebecca Ballard of Hinton, Karen and husband Herman Pack of Streeter, Robin and husband Greg Bragg of Beaver, Peggy Ballard of Hinton, Robert Ballard of Las Vegas, Nev., Jarrod Ballard of Hinton, Lynette Ballard of Beckley and Matthew Ballard of Daniels; Special sister-in-law, Glenna Mize of Beaver. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Ronald Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jarrod Ballard, Herman and Brandon Pack, Greg and Coleman Bragg, Norman Farley, Jr., and Matt Durnan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Bennett, Norman Farley, Sr., Wyatt Hinton and Earl and Nip Bowles. on June 9, 2009.4

Born October 8, 1932 at Pluto he was the son of the late Pearl S. Ethel Bower Donohoe. Moody worked many years as a mechanic for H&N Ford in Hinton till their closing he then worked for Earhart Motors until his retirement in 1995. He attended First Baptist Church of Hinton, enjoyed working outside mowing grass and keeping his lawn groomed. Survived by two sisters, Glenna Mize of Grandview and Garnet Ballard of Madams Creek; two brothers, Mason Donohoe and wife Bonnie of Delaware and Mayo Donohoe and wife Judy of Madams Creek; four nephews, Randy Ballard and wife Debbie of Bellepoint, Steve Ballard and wife Kim of Glade Springs, Ricky Donohoe and wife Tammy of Delaware and Bo Donohoe and companion Lou Ann Hinton of Madams Creek. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roy L. Honaker Jr. officiating. Donohoe died on August 28, 2015 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 75.6,2 He HINTON — Mayo S. Donohoe, 75, of Hinton passed away Friday, August 28, 2015, at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness. Born July 17, 1940, at Hinton, he was the son of the late Pearl and Ethel Bower Donohoe. Mayo was a retired school bus operator for the Summers Co. Board of Education with 18 years of service, former patrolman for the City of Hinton from 1975-1977; he enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and was an avid farmer who enjoyed caring for his cattle and land as long as his health permitted. Preceded in death by two sisters, Glenna Mize and Garnett Ballard, and one brother, Moody Donohoe. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Judy Foster Donohoe; son, Bo Donohoe and companion Lou Ann of Hinton; brother, Mason Donohoe and his wife Bonnie of Laurel, Delaware; and mother-in-law, Hallie Foster of Beckley. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Don Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in the Donohoe Family Cemetery on Broomstraw Road. on August 30, 2015.2
