A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born May 11, 1944 in Narrows and was the daughter of the late Fred Emons and Maggie Louise Akers Robertson. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Alicia Neal; a sister, Rita Gautier; a brother-in-law, Roby Gautier; and a special friend, Rosetta Light. She was employed with Food Time in Narrows as an assistant manager, and attended Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jackie Lee Neal, Sr; one son, Jackie Lee Neal, Jr. and wife, Alicia of Peterstown; three daughters, Kristi and Barry McGuyer, Lori Neal and Jimmy Cornwell, and Ashley and Jason Robertson, all of Narrows; one brother, Waddie and Barbara Robertson of Narrows; one sister, Ruby and Jackie Evans of Peterstown; seven grandchildren, Tyler and Abbigayle McGuyer of Narrows, Kalyn and Landon Neal of Peterstown, and Zachery, Jacob and Broderick Robertson, all of Narrows; a mother-in-law, Vivian Price; many special nieces and nephews; her friends at Food Time in Narrows; and special friends, Patty Hazelwood and Pearl Lucas. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. on February 25, 2005.²

     Karen Alicia Neal was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia.^3,4,5 She was born on September 29, 1966 at Giles Co., Virginia.^2,3,5 She died on March 12, 1967 at Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia.^3,5 She Karen Alicia Neal, five-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Neal of Narrows, Va., died suddenly at her home after a short illness. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a brother: Jackie Lee Neal, Jr., of the home; maternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robertson of Narrows, and the paternal grandmother: Mrs. Vivian Price of Rich Creek, Va. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. on March 13, 1967.⁴

"Jack" Johnson was buried at Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House, Putnam Co., West Virginia.^4,5 His Social Security Number was 234-48-9813.² He was born on July 3, 1934.^2,5 He married Irene Ruth Neal, daughter of Gussie Lee "Gus" Neal and Vivian Ellen McGhee, on February 12, 1993 at Kentucky.^1,3 Claude O. "Jack" Johnson died on June 17, 2009 at South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 74.^2,4,5 He Mr. Claude O. "Jack" Johnson, 74, of Poca passed away June 17, 2009, in Thomas Memorial Hospital. Jack was a retired staff sergent from the Air Force and a member of Poca United Methodist Church. He is survived by his children, Mike Johnson of Charleston, Sherry Carter of Kentucky, Deborah Wallin of Texas, Claude Johnson Jr. of Oregon and Luke Johnson of Illinois; stepchildren, Brandi Gardner of Nitro and Chris Gautier of Hampton, Va; stepgrandchildren, Joel Gardner and Wyatt Gautier; and many grandchildren. A tribute to the life of Mr. Claude "Jack" Johnson will be at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens and Crematorium. Burial will follow in the memory gardens. on June 24, 2009.⁴
