He continued serving the body of Christ as a charter member at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church, where he held the position of Senior Deacon and sang in the choir for 50 years. He was a member of the Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge and the Jericho Shrine Temple. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Beulah Gross Wood. Survivors include: Daughter – Donna Guinn and husband Timmy; Grandchildren – Nathan Guinn and wife Laura, Hannah Guinn; Sisters – Gladys Arnold and husband Sid, Christine Booher; Brother – C.W. Wood; Several nieces and nephews and his church family. Interment will follow at Rooty Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Gary Webster, Tim Gross, Jimmy Gross, Trevor Gross, Justin Gross, and Buster Rogers. Holbrook of the home; granddaughter, Misty Myers Ramey and husband Cliff of Bristol Tennessee; grandson, Barry Ray Myers II and wife Stacy of Bristol Tennessee; and great-granddaughter, Madalen Brook Ramey of Bristol Tennessee. The committal and interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Ray Myers II, Cliff Ramey, Robert Holbrook, Roger Holbrook, Larry Harley, Barry Myers, Brian Myers and Barry Hogue.
