     Eugene Hampton Doyle Eugene Hampton Doyle, 81, passed away on October 29, 2025. He was born on May 22, 1944, to the late Earl Doyle and Helen Doyle. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cecilia Lee Doyle, and by his sisters, Diane Boone and Betty Thornton. Eugene is survived by his siblings, Sam Doyle, Barbara Sprouse and her husband Bill, and Gale Bartmess and her husband Tony; special cousin, Larry Wirt; and special niece, Jodie Schmid and her husband Glenn, along with their children, Kylee and Jaden. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews and numerous golfing buddies who meant so much to him. Eugene was a longtime and dedicated employee of Carter Machinery Co., Inc., where he worked from 1966 until his retirement in 2004 as a Parts and Service Sales Representative. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his love for golf. Eugene also shared a special bond with his dog, Blizzard, who was his loyal companion for many years and will forever be remembered as part of his family. Eugene cherished time spent with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl Hampton Doyle and Helen McDaniel Doyle, sister, Diane Boone, and husband of 50 years, Burley Thomas Thornton. She is survived by her siblings; Sam Doyle (Barbara), Gene Doyle, Barbara Sprouse (Bill), Gale Bartmess (Tony), children; Bonnie Baucom (Mike), Ricky Thornton (Mary), Danny Thornton (Monica), Buck Thornton (Jennifer), and grandchildren; DJ Thornton, Chelsea Parker (Jeremy), Ricky Thornton Jr., Logan Thornton, and Hailey Albrecht (Aaron), great-grandchildren; Dylan, Katelyn, Audryna, Lexcyee, Brylee, and Dallyse Parker and many beloved nieces and nephews. Mom served God with all her heart and that was reflected in the way she loved and served her family and friends. Her laughter was infectious, and her tears showed a special strength by revealing the compassion she had for others. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, attending Bible Study, and Gospel Singing.
