She was a member of the family of faith at Bethel Chapel in Clendennin, a graduate of Giles High School, class of 1962, had been employed at several jobs through the years, the last with Giles County Senior Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband William Daniel Moye I “Danny” just a month ago, her sister Judy Lucas Lindsey and brother Clyde Henry Lucas and an infant brother Charles Lucas. She leaves to cherish her memory her son William Daniel Moye II of Pearisburg; her daughter Susan Annette Moye of Pearisburg; her grandson Zachary Edward Tyler Moye of Pearisburg; her sisters and their husbands Betty and Mike Harvey of Newport, Becky Proco of Christiansburg, and Darlene Lucas of Pembroke; her sisters and brothers-in-law Dr. Jerry and Leland Moye of Houston, TX, Jim and Nancy Moye of Richmond, Mary Jane Stafford of Rich Creek, and Mildred Stafford of Blacksburg; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she cared for so much. He was a 1958, graduate of Pearisburg High School (Red Devils), and before his disability with Parkinsons Disease was employed with Emery Fast Freight as a driver trainer, Danny was an avid sports fan and championed the teams at Giles High School, The Washington Redskins, and UVA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of DAV. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Moye "Buggs". He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife Reida Lucas Moye; his son William Daniel Moye, II of the home; his grandson Zach Moye of the home; his daughter Susan Annette Moye of Pearisburg; his brothers and sisters-in-law Dr. Jerry Moye and Lillian of Houston,Texas; James Moye of Midilothian and Nancy; his sisters Ruth Mildred Stafford of Blacksburg and Mary Jane Stafford of Rich Creek. Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery on Bagging Plant Road in Dublin. He was born in Pearisburg on October 10, 1948 a son of the late Charles Goff and Irma Mae Bowyer Harvey of Newport. Mike was a 1966 graduate of Giles High School, was retired from Mundy Construction at the Celanese Plant in Narrows as a heavy equipment operator. He could operate any piece of equipment he was put on. He would stop to help any friend in need and always took care of his family for his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers James (Jim) Garfield Harvey, and Roy (Jack) Winfred Harvey, his sister Freida Mae Harvey Price, brother-in-law Clyde Lucas and sisters-in-law Judy Lucas and Reida Lucas Moye and Danny Moye. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Betty Jean Lucas Harvey; his children Kristy Harvey of Newport, David Wayne Harvey and Lynette of Florida, Lisa Diane Harvey of Pearisburg; his grandchildren Sterling Dwight Williams, Dustin Wayne Harvey and Katy, Maggie Carbaugh, Preston Harvey, and Jackson Harvey; his great-grandchildren Ryan Harvey, Levi Harvey, and Mandelyn Williams; his brothers Charles Lowe Harvey, and Garry Wayne Harvey; his sisters Ola Faye Harvey Craighead, Lois Genevieve Harvey Price, and Vivian Charlene Harvey Link; two very special sisters-in-law Rebecca Lucas Proco and Darlene Lucas; too many beloved nieces and nephews to list; and special fur buddy Rocky and grand pup Sassy. Burial will follow in the Mike Harvey Family Cemetery at his home. Victor Link, Jeff Harvey, Dustin Harvey, Sterling Williams, Cody Proco, and Sherman Harvey will serve as pallbearers.
