Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a postman for the South Bend Post Office for 33 years, and was a bartender at Notre Dame for 27 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 357. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching sports, and loved going to the Casino. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. on June 15, 2011.3

On October 19, 1957 Virginia married her loving husband William Kaser; he preceded her in death on June 13, 2011. Virginia was also preceded in death by a brother, James Badowski. Survivors of Virginia include her children, Eric (Melissa) Kaser of South Bend, Doug (Tammy) Kaser of South Bend; grandchildren, Lauren (Aaron), Garrett, Tony (Sarah), Brandyn, Zachary, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jackson, Zoe and Oliver; and a sister, Barbara Woltman of CA. Virginia was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Sodality. Virginia enjoyed spending time at the casino, and watching Notre Dame football. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to thank the employees at Sanctuary at Holy Cross for the care of our mom. on December 4, 2016.3

     Richard Murphy was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 23449 Edison Road, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.2 He was born on May 16, 1927 at Lauderdale Co., Alabama.2,3 He married Gloria Joyce Kaser, daughter of Melvin Ray Kaser and Jessie Elizabeth Stevenson, on June 25, 1948 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.1,4,2 Richard Murphy died on August 26, 2020 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 93.2 He SOUTH BEND, IN - Richard Murphy, 93, passed away in his home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Richard was born May 16, 1927 in Alabama to the late Rose Dowdy. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Phillips. Left to cherish the memory of Richard is his loving wife of 72 years, Gloria (Kaser) Murphy and their children, Janet (Dennis) Sager and Shelley (John) McCahill, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and several sisters and brothers. Richard was a WWII Veteran in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. He was a member of the American Legion 284. Richard was the owner of Murphy Cabinets. He played high school football and also ran track. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. A graveside service will follow with full Military Honors at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana. on August 28, 2020.2

She loved all animals, especially her beloved Golden Retriever, Nellie. Mostly, she loved taking care of her family, and was a devoted wife and mother, who will be greatly missed. Lynne or Mrs. Hines, as she was known to her students, was a school bus driver for Penn Harris Madison for over 15 years, and took great pride in keeping every student who rode her bus safe and sound. on December 8, 2019.5
