Survivors include his wife, Norma Hubbard McNeil; a daughter, Sue Jones of Panama City, Fla; three sisters, Elfa M. Boggs of Beckley, Eva Jane Epperly of Fayetteville and Sherry Feazell Key of Laurel, Md; his mother-in-law, Lillie Hubbard of Prosperity; two grandchildren, Melissa and Ashley Jones, and two aunts, Callie Lester and Mary Plumley, both of Beckley. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Born Dec. 12, 1922, in Concho, he was the son of the late Earl O. and Mary Louise Moses Epperly. Mr. Epperly was a retired Fayette county sheriff and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, Myles Epperly. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Carol Hughes Epperly; three stepsons, David Taylor of Severn, Md., Billy Light of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Howard Withrow Jr. of Newport News, Va; two stepdaughters, Misty and Michelle Light, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C; a brother, Randolph T. Mr. Feazell was born Dec. 30, 1939, in Gatewood, W.V. He retired in 1996 from the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, Md., where he had worked as a Russian language analyst for 37 years. During his career, he served in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the former Soviet Union. A collector of West Virginia coal scrip and other assorted tokens, he wrote 53 articles for Token Talk, a token collectors magazine. Survivors include his wife, Kristina, at home; two sons, Mark and Shannon, both of Laurel, Md; two sisters, Gail Tincher of Fayetteville, W.V., and Juanita Dancy of Oak Hill, W.V; two brothers, Fred of Clifton Forge, Va., and Carl W. "Buddy" of Hillsville, Va; two grandchildren; and his special companion, Heidi, a 4-year old dachshund. There will be no service. His body will be cremated and the ashes scattered at Harris Beach State Park in Oregon in July. on June 27, 2004.⁵
