Sam was a lover of music and animals. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching his favorite show, The Walking Dead. Sam is survived by his mother, Janice; siblings, Sterling (Julie) Bierbrodt, Teodoro Riker, Rosa (Tom) Brunson, Jan(Mark) Vaage, Ken (David) Bierbrodt-Reiser, Todd (Mary) Bierbrodt, and Angel (Charles) Dillon; children, Cory Ogden and Kyle Riker; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James; wife, Tamara Riker; maternal and paternal grandmothers, Carlene Wigant and Martha Riker; maternal and paternal grandfathers, Samuel Wigant and Arnold Riker; brother, John Bierbrodt; and his children, Hailey Kay-Loretta Riker and Samuel James Riker Jr. A graveside service will be held at a future date.2 He married Michelle Awe.5 Samuel James Riker Sr. was born on August 31, 1972.2 He married Tamara L. "Tammy" Northrup on August 28, 2004 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa.6 Samuel James Riker Sr. died on March 18, 2019 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa, at age 46.2
