Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor Marcus Wood and Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment to follow in Slate Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the funeral home. on September 28, 2011.2

Evelyn Ruth Ayers Evelyn Ruth Ayers Graham, 57, rested from this life on Monday, January 11, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Donald W. Ayers, Sr. and Anita Hamrick Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Garcia Ozuna. Evelyn was a member of Southview United Methodist Church and loved her church family immensely. She had a passion for sewing and gave away many baby blankets and other handmade items. She loved singing karaoke, drinking coffee and Dr. Pepper. She will be missed and remembered by her son, Alex Ozuna; siblings: Cecil Ayers (Beverly), Donnie Ayers (Becca), Pam Gibson (Jason), Mike Ayers (Sandy) and special “adopted” grandchildren: Addison, Layken and Brayden Graybill. Numerous other nieces and nephews whom she loved, as well as her dog, Dolly.
