She was the beloved mother of Larry DeWeese of Baltimore; foster mother of Linda Greenwood of Baltimore; dear sister of Mrs. Bill (Shane) Mitchell of Princeton; grandmother of Bill, Ricky, Kimberly and Anthony DeWeese; great-grandmother of Josh and Brook; additional survivors include two nieces, Mary Ellen Compton and Billy Gray Sox of Princeton, three nephews, Raymond Lamarr Thompson of Princeton, Jimmy Mitchell of Florida and Chuck Mitchell of Baltimore. Interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Maryland. on September 20, 1998.3

     Janice Jewell Jones Janice J. Jones Totten, 80, of Hurricane, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was born April 6, 1934 in Princeton, WV to the late Kelly Jones and Jesse Mussalow. Janice is also preceded in death by her sister Ruby Pritchett, and her niece Jessie Lee Linkous. Janice was employed by North American Rockwell and Elder Beerman. She faithfully attended First Baptist Church of Hurricane. She is survived by her children, Kathy Rogers (JD) of Charleston, Byron Foley of Edmond OK, Shelly Clark (Robert) of Ashland KY, and Donna Shuler (John “JR”) of Pliny WV. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Dennison, Kevin Green, Jacob Heishman, Kelly Heishman, Sydney Clark, Sophia Clark, Brittany Foley and Evan Foley, special niece Brenda Smith and mother-in-law Eva “Nanny” Totten of Bluefield, WV . Also surviving Finn, Melody, and Liam Shuler, who all held a special place in her heart. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane WV.3 She was buried at Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, Putnam Co., West Virginia.8,3 She was born on April 6, 1934 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.9,8,3 As of October 21, 1950,her married name was Foley.2 She married Bernard Byron Foley on October 21, 1950 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.2 Janice Jewell Jones and Bernard Byron Foley were divorced before August, 1963.9 As of August 2, 1963,her married name was Totten.9 Janice Jewell Jones married Walter Whitten Totten Jr. on August 2, 1963 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.9,5 Janice Jewell Jones died on May 8, 2014 at West Virginia at age 80.8,3
