     Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Conner was buried at Lick Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery (also known as Maxey Cemetery), next to Vaughn's Chapel, Lick Ridge Road, Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,6 She was born on January 3, 1835 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.² She married James Robert "Bob" Craghead, son of William Thomas "Grandpap Billy" Craghead and Susannah Maxey, on April 11, 1854 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^3,7 As of April 11, 1854,her married name was Craghead. Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Conner In remembrance of my grandmother. On the sad evening of May 4, 1928, the death angel visited the home of J.M. Whitenack and claimed for its victim our dear grandmother Sallie E. Craghead, wife of Robert Craghead, who preceded her to the grave several years ago. She was 93 years, 4 months and 2 days old. She concentrated her life to God in early childhood and united with the Methodist church and lived a Christian life until death. Grandmother had been in declining health for many years with that dreadful disease T.B. She bore her suffering with much patience until Jesus called her for His own. She leaves to mourn for her four children namely: Mrs L. L. Vest (Odell), Mrs. Jinnie Eanes, G. E. (Giles) Craghead, all of Pilot, and J. D. (Stape) Craghead of Roanoke, besides a host of grand children and great-grand children. Nine children preceded her to the great beyond several years before. Weep not for dear grandmother, for the time will surly come when we shall go to see her, when our work on earth is done. God needed one more angel. Amid His shining shore, so He bent with loving kindness, and clasp dear grandmother's hand. Earth has lost its hope of gladness, heaven seems to us more bright, since our dear grandmother took her homeward flight. Farewell, dear grandmother, on earth we will meet no more, but in heaven we hope to meet you on that bright happy shore.      Susan Edward "Susie" Conner was buried at Piedmont Cemetery, Rt. 11 to Shawsville, turn at nursing home, Rt. 637, about 8 miles on the left, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^5,2 She was born on June 6, 1880 at Abingdon, Washington Co., Virginia; Her gravestone and death certificate have a birth date of Jun 6, 1880.^5,2,4 She died on January 31, 1962 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 81.^5,2

     His Social Security Number was 227-05-1828.² Edward Burton Harman was born on June 5, 1916.^1,2 He married Nellie Juanita Agee, daughter of John Cheat Agee and Nellie Clyde Yates, on December 2, 1949.^1,3,4,5 Edward Burton Harman died on August 21, 2001 at age 85.²

     Joseph Harden Custer was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,3 He was born on November 5, 1874 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^4,2,3 He married Tabitha Frances Conner, daughter of Albert Conner and Mary Jane Iddings, on March 1, 1894 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,5,3 Joseph Harden Custer died on March 18, 1960 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 85.^2,3,6 He Joseph Harden Custer, 85, of 918 Westside Blvd., NW, died Friday at a local nursing home. He was a retired merchant. Surviving are two sons, W. H. Custer, Roanoke, and Fred B. Custer, Pensacola, Fla; two daughters, Mrs. E. D. Howery and Mrs. D. S. King, Roanoke; a brother, Hosea Custer, Christiansburg; nine grandchildren eight great-grandchildren. on March 19, 1960.⁶
