She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette Gearheart and Sarah Gearheart (Bandy); husband, Lewis "Willie" Williams; siblings, Hugh, Homer, Jack, Julian, and Ruth Chrisman; and grandson, Jason. Oneta was a resident of Our Lady of the Valley Assisted Living and Sullivan Center where she was cared for by a loving and caring staff. She had a wonderful friend and roommate, Martha Robertson. Remarkably during this residency she was reunited with many of her childhood classmates and cousin, Ida Bandy. She is survived by her four children Wendell, Brenda, Larry Wayne, and Donna; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Clyde Gearheart, of Rocky Mount, Va. Graveside Service and interment will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at National Memorial Park Cemetery, Falls Church, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in her honor to Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 6045 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va. 24019. on September 16, 2010.4

He had a great sense of humor, loved to deep sea fish and loved his family well. He was very talented at singing and playing guitar and wrote several gospel songs. He was an incredibly generous person. He and Toby were married for 43 years. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Jewel Phelps of Ludlow, KY, his wife Toby Phelps of Matthews, NC, his siblings Donald and Edie Phelps of Ludlow, KY, Mike and Jewel Cartales of Cape Coral, FL, his children Gus and Teresa Cur, Patrick and Joy Phelps, Derek and Erika Budd, all of Indian Trail, NC, and 4 grandchildren and 2 more on the way.3 He was born on September 12, 1953 at Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio.1,2,3 He married Toby Christine Lawrence, daughter of Howard Lee Lawrence and Imogene Dennis "Jean" Allen, on April 22, 1971.1,4 Kenneth Earl Phelps died on February 12, 2015 at Matthews, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, at age 61.3

Bob is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Jo Wimmer, Rock Hill, S.C; his children, Claude and Carol Wimmer, Newport, Donnie and Donna Wimmer, Eggleston, and Bob and Dianne Burkett, Woodbridge. Grandpa especially loved his grandchildren, Robert, Josh, Shaun, Lena, Bill, and Gary; and his many nieces and nephews. Bob proudly served his country during WW II as an artilleryman on an anti-aircraft gun crew protecting London from German bombers and V-1 rockets. He then crossed the channel into France, and advanced into Belgium and Germany with his gun crew until the end of the war. "Mr. Bob" was a life member of the Eggleston Volunteer Fire Department, serving since it was formed in 1963. He treasured his time in the Fire Department and all the fine people who served with him. Bob retired from the "old string plant" (Celco) in 1985 with 43 years of service. Bob really enjoyed his retirement and spent a lot of time gardening and growing beautiful flowers. He inherited his love for growing things from his Pappy, and awesome gardener in his own time. Bob's most treasured possession was his loving family. Interment following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. on August 12, 2000.1
