In 2015, New River Community College honored Mr. Duncan with its first ever honorary Bachelor's Degree in honor of his accolades in business and service to the New River Valley. The body will be placed in the Huffville Church at 1:00 p.m. Thursday where friends may call. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 Thursday evening there. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Floyd County Fire Department Station 3. Arrangements are being handled by the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. on August 15, 1991.²
