     Her married name was Branigan.2 Charity Gray was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Garvin Co., Oklahoma.2 She was born on June 7, 1863 at Floyd Co., Virginia.2,3 As of 1880,her married name was Hartigan.4 She married James Hartigan in 1880.4 As of circa 1896,her married name was Jones.3 Charity Gray married Frank B. Jones circa 1896.2,3 Charity Gray died on February 10, 1952 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, at age 88.2,4 She Mrs. Charity Jones, 88 year-old state pioneer, died Sunday in her home, 1312 NE 14. She had been in ill health several weeks. A native of Virginia, she came to Indian Territory from Texas in 1878. In 1880 she married the late James Hartigan, then a U.S. calvary officer station in Fort Sill. After his death, she move to Pauls Valley in 1893 and lived there until coming here several years ago. She was the last surviving charter member of First baptist church in Pauls Valley. Surviving are on daughter, Mrs. T. O. Tinsley, 1312 NE 14; two sons, James J. Hartigan, Gainesville, Mo., and J. Branigan, Phoenix, Ariz., a brother, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Service are pending at Watts funeral home. on February 11, 1952.4

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion in Hagerstown. He is survived by one son, Alvie Radford Jr. of Stevens, Pa; two sisters, Bonnie Thompson of Floyd County, Va., and Elsie Eyers of West Virginia; one brother, James Radford of Floyd County; one aunt; and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. Arrangements are by Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, Pa.
