Mrs. Carey was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Middletown and had volunteered at the MOT Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Alva A. Price, in 1992. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard R. Carey Sr; two sons, Richard R. Carey Jr. of Odessa and Matthew A. Carey of Drexel Hill, Pa., her mother, Hazel W. Price of Galena, Md; three sisters, Susan P. Beattie of Middletown, Ida P. Nabb of Galena and Joyce Morales of Millington, Md. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Manlove and wife, Katie of Wilmington, DE; 1 stepson, William T. Beattie of Townsend, DE; 2 sisters, Joyce Price Morales and husband, CJ of Millington, MD, and Ida Price Nabb and husband, Steve of Galena, MD; 2 grandchildren, Sean and Natalie Manlove of Arlington, VA; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11 am at the FELLOWS, HELFENBEIN AND NEWNAM FUNERAL HOME, 226 E. Main St. Cecilton, MD. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 7-9 pm also at the funeral home. Interment will be held in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Earleville, MD, following Friday's services. She enjoyed crafting and was a talented seamstress, often sewing for others. She always found the good in people. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family - nothing was more important to her. Her grandchildren, Philip and Alexis, were the center of her universe and they loved their Mom Mom. She reveled in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and gave herself completely to ensure that those around her had everything they needed in life. She was most recently a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church and formerly a member of St. Peter the Apostle, Christ Our King and Sacred Heart Churches. Her husband of 44 years, George Wimmer, passed away in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Wyszynski. She is survived by her 3 children, Neal Wimmer, and his wife, Patti, of Newark, Kathy Cathell, and her husband, Phil, of Berlin, MD, and Kevin Wimmer, of New Castle; 2 grandchildren, Philip and Alexis Cathell; and 2 sisters, Catherine Early, of Dover, and Mary Lisansky, of Claymont. Friends may visit with the family at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., New Castle on Thursday evening, January 5, 2006, from 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday, January 6, 2006, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 6th and Pine Sts., Wilmington, DE.
