Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dana Stump Richards; three sons, Don of Seabrook, Md., Harry of Alexandria, Va., and William (Buck) of Jacksonville, Fla; two daughters, Mrs. Hilda Auricchio of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Kathryn Morgan of Princeton, and nine grandchildren. on April 8, 1971.9 He died on April 8, 1971 at Mullens, Wyoming Co., West Virginia, at age 79.8,9

Born November 14, 1916 in Christiansburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Dana E. Stump Richards. She was retired from Leggett's Department Store and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. Her husband of 56 years Willie Virgil Morgan; three brothers, William Richards, Donald Richards and Harry Richards; and one sister, Hilda Aurrichio, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Howery and her husband Dan of Clinton Township, Mich., and Bonnie Lewis and her husband Bill of Princeton; four grandchildren, Michael Howery and his wife Kelly, Traci Banks, Jennifer Johnson and her husband Ron and Amy Dent; six great-grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Casey Johnson, Abigail Dent, Jenna Dent, Hannah Howery and Allyson Howery; brother-in-law, Orion Morgan of Mullens; and special friends, Tom and Juanita Workman of Princeton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 15, 2008 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Tom Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton is serving the Morgan family. on January 14, 2008.4

Janice Elinor Edwards Janice Edwards Vest, 88, of Roanoke, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2025. She was born on March 16, 1937, in Roanoke, Virginia. Janice was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Donna Vest Howell. She is survived by her devoted husband, Edwin David Vest of Roanoke; her son, David Mead Vest (Carol); and her daughter, Kimberly Vest Hardy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Holly Howell Tolbert, Ryan Jacob Howell, Samantha Michelle Howell, Sarita Miranda Howell, Sierra Grace Corbin, Olivia Rae Vest, Nathaniel Hardy (Eleanor), and Naomi Hardy (Oliver); as well as four great-grandchildren who brought her much joy. Janice was a graduate of William Fleming High School Class of 1955. She also attended Roanoke College for two years. She and Edwin were married on August 26, 1961, at Enon Baptist Church in Roanoke, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, faith, and family. She was a woman of strong faith and a lifelong servant of the Lord. Janice was an active member and church secretary at Emanuel Baptist Church for many years and also worked as a secretary at Salem Baptist Church and with United Health Care. Janice had many passions, including gardening, reading, dancing, and listening to good music. She was a wonderful cook and was especially known for her delicious macaroni salad. Above all, she cherished time with her family and dedicated her life to caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, lovingly held in the hands of the Lord.
