Lessie was a resident of Vero Beach, Fla. for 16 years before moving to Houston, Texas in 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Baker; parents, Alexander Huffman and Flora (Lowe) Huffman, and 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by sister, Ethel (Huffman) Given of Toledo, Ohio; sister-in-law, Nola (Brown) Huffman of Roanoke, Va; nine stepchildren; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service with Military honors was held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, Fla. on Friday, March 3, at 10 a.m.
