Ron was a devoted servant to our Lord, Jesus Christ, and a faithful member of Gayton Baptist Church. During his final weeks, Ron sought to bring comfort to his family even in his greatest hour of need. He knew that he was going to heaven and he wanted to let his family know that his heart and spirit were right with the Lord. As the Lord took him home, he was surrounded by Jan, his wife of 28 years; his son, Guy; his son, Cole; and his daughter, Caroline; as well as his beloved Boxer and canine buddy, Bella. Ron is also survived by his sister, Jill Priestino; and as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron now joins his mom, Miriam Simpson Stinchfield; and his dad, Guy Eastman Stinchfield; as well as his son, Braxton, in their heavenly home. Ron was born in Washington, D.C., but spent his entire life here in Richmond. He was very successful in the business world and so many of his friends were the result of years of trust developed through his business. Ron was an incredible dad, husband, brother, son and friend. The greatest joy in Ron's life was being the steadfast husband and father his family knew him to be. Everything he did centered on his family and making sure they were always cared for and as he left this world, he had peace in his heart knowing they could move forward with the love of the Lord and the support of family and friends. We miss your playful spirit and your wonderful sense of humor that could always make us laugh. We miss you Ron, but we give praise to the Lord for the blessings He gave us through your life and continues to give us each and every day. on March 2, 2016.6
