     Dr. Ira Walter Hutchinson was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.8,7 He was born on December 3, 1865 at Lester, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.8 He married Mabel Pauline Hill on April 17, 1897 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.9,10,5,7 Dr. Ira Walter Hutchinson died on February 13, 1920 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 54; Died of gangrene of the knee.8,6 He Dr. I. W. Hutchinson, aged about 50 years, died in the City hospital in Charleston Friday afternoon, February 18th, of eezema, and complications from which he had suffered for from some time. He was a member of a well known Raleigh County family and was born near Beckley. His brother J. Q. Hutchinson and son Lyle, who is employed in the Beckley National Bank, are with the family in Charleston this week where they were called by the death of Mr. Hutchinson. His wife and three other children survive, who reside at the family home 707 Morris street, Charleston. Doctor Hutchinson was a graduate of the School of Dentistry and Cincinnati, and practiced in Parkersburg for many years. Burial made Sunday in Charleston. on February 19, 1920.6

A native of Raleigh County, she is the sister of J. Q. Hutchinson, Beckley attorney. Mrs. Griffith had made her home in Huntington for many years. Her husband passed away several years ago. In addition to her brother, she is survived by two children, Luther O. Griffith and Mrs. Marguerite Witherspoon, both of Huntington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Q. Hutchinson will leave today for Huntington to attend the funeral which will be held on Thursday. on April 8, 1953.4

Mr. Hutchinson, 81, died Tuesday in a Beckley hospitaL A graduate of Concord Normal School and the West Virginia University College of Law school in 1907, Mr. Hutchinson had practiced in Beckley until his retirement on Jan. 1. A Republican, he served as Beckley City Treasurer in 1909, Raleigh County prosecutor in 1912 and as a State Senator in 1928. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beckley, the Raleigh County Bar Assn., Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, the Bem Kedem Shrine, the West Virginia Emeritus Club and Beckley Kiwanis Club. Surviving are his wife, Lelia; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Phillips of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Eugene Thoenen of Bloomsburg, Pa., and Blanche Hutchinson of Morgantown; a son, the Rev. John Hutchinson of Gloucester, Mass., and six gracdchildren. on February 2, 1961.5

Patterson; stepgranddaughter, Mary Alice Patterson; three stepgreat grandchildren, Conner Kolgan, Dillon Kolgan, and Devin Kolgan; brother, Ronnie F. Wertz; extended family and friends, Robert G. Shaver, Cindy Barcenas, Janice Wimmer, Kim Alls, Loretta Wimmer, Chas Colley, and George Burton. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel with Pastor Jay Edwards and the Rev. Butch Hammed officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. She came to Alaska in 1984 and enjoyed spending time with her family, singing, camping, fishing and driving along any Alaska road. In 1986 she was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure. The doctors, staff and patients of Renal Care Group (formerly known as The Alaska Kidney Center), Day Break and Immaculate Conception Assisted Living Home were an important part of her life. She loved working with children and was employed by The Gingerbread Daycare Center as a part-time teaching assistant and taught first-grade Sunday school until her health prevented her from doing so. Her family wrote: ''Vicky's faith in God was a great power in all of our lives. She enjoyed the simple things in life and gave the greatest gifts of love to all who knew her.'' She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Shaver; daughter, Victoria L. Shaver of Anchorage; parents, George and Lillian Wimmer; brothers, Don, George Willard and Jerrold Dillard Wimmer; sister, Brenda W. Bland of Virginia; and many close friends and family in Alaska and the Lower 48. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alaska Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 241808, Anchorage 99524. on July 20, 2002.3
