Van and Janice Angle, Winona A. and David E. Baker; grandchildren, Justin Angle, Shawn and Shannon Angle, Stacy and Andrea Baker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and John Harman, Nancy and Bill Bandy; stepgrandchildren, Mickey and Anita Alderman, Barry Alderman, Angie Alderman; stepgreat-grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley and Michael; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Louise Angle, Mildred Thompson, Sam and Gwinn Angle; several nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles; and special uncle, Nelson Hale. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Elbert Lee Naff and the Rev. Lane Speigner officiating. Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at Gardner Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice or Station #3 Rescue Squad. on October 23, 2000.5

He was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Roane County, W.Va. Arnold attended school in Vinton, Ohio. He was active in all sports and was captain of his football team. Arnold attended Rio Grande College, graduating from Michigan State University. He was drafted into the Army Air Force, serving from April 1942 to December 1945. He was a flight engineer on the B-17, served with the 15th Air Force, 99th Bomb Group, B-346 Bomb Squadron, based in Italy. The crew was shot down over Italy, but all survived. He flew in the first bombing mission out of Russia while stationed in Italy. He also was one of the first original members of the Air Force Reserve Unit at Yeager Airport. After the war Arnold returned to Charleston, where he went to work for Union Carbide. There he met the plant nurse, Bessie Spence of Cross Lanes. In 1963, Arnold started a heating and air conditioning company with his brother-in-law in Orlando, Fla. Arnold was active in N.A.P.E., National Association of Power Engineers, and was voted president of the state organization. He helped pass many legislative issues concerning the engineering field. With Arnold's wit, he was often asked to speak to local organizations. Upon his retirement, he and Bessie Spence Schoolcraft returned to their beloved West Virginia. There they retired. One of Arnold's greatest hobbies was to restore old homes. He was also active in military organizations. He was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 131, Vinton, Ohio, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by wife, Bessie Spence Schoolcraft; son, Arnold "Arnie" Nutter Schoolcraft. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, James H. and Elda Schoolcraft of Alexandria, La., and John Schoolcraft of Cross Lanes; daughter and son-in-law, Ann Schoolcraft-King and Jim of Orlando, Fla; brother, Dr. J. Ronald Schoolcraft of Jacksonville, Fla; three grandsons, Joseph Arnold Schoolcraft of Alexandria, La., Michael Jeffrey Schoolcraft and DeLand, Fla., Jason Ronald Schoolcraft of Ormond Beach, Fla; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes. A special thanks to the Staff of Hubbard Hospice House. Ronald Schoolcraft, Sr., 87, passed away November 24, 2007. Mr. Schoolcraft was born March 31, 1920 in Roane County on the Rush Fork of Green Creek, West Virginia. He was drafted into the US Navy where he served in World War II, this is where he was converted to Christ in 1945. West Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida were where he pastored several churches. He has served as an ordained minister for the Advent Christian Denomination for over 60 years and has also authored 25 books and countless pamphlets. In 1979, after 33 years of study in some six different schools, he was awarded a Doctor of Theology degree. He is preceded in death by his son, Ivan Schoolcraft. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Helen; sons, Ronnie Schoolcraft, Jr., John Drew; daughters, Patty Donor, Jeannie Aldridge, Pamela Morrison; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, 2007, 7-9 PM at HARDAGE-GIDDENS Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 29, 2007, 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at West Jacksonville Advent Christian Church, 8376 Normandy Blvd., Jax., FL 32221. Mrs. Click, of 719 Forest Circle, South Charleston, had long been active in local and state art circles. She was born in Clay County, May 15, 1904, a daughter of James E. and Letha Elmore Schoolcraft. She was a graduate of Walton High School in Roane County and received her AB degree from Marshall University. She taught school in Roane County four years before coming to Kanawha County. Mrs. Click was assigned to the Sissonville Grade School as principal in the fall of 1936 and she remained there until her medical retirement in 1943. She studied painting under private tutors, attended Mason School of Music and Fine Arts here until it closed, and exhibited her art work in many area shows. She was a rosarian of note, a consecutive ribbon and trophy winner at Charleston's annual rose show. Mrs. Click was president of Allied Artists of W. Va., Inc., in 1932 and 1933 and thereafter continued to serve in other offices until her last illness. She was a member of the National Education Assn., Charleston Rose Society, Sissonville Women's Club, VWCA, Brooks Bird Society, Allied Artists of W. Va., and the Sandy Knob Advent Christian Church. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Letha Schoolcraft of Pinch; two sisters, Mrs. Vada Jarvis of South Charleston, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Mildred Webster of Orlando, Fla; five brothers, Arnold Schoolcraft of Charleston, Donald of St. Albans, Rev. Dennie R. Schoolcraft of Pinch, Kenneth of Nitro and the Rev. Ronald Schoolcraft of Jacksonville, Fla. The Rev. Homer Baxter will officiate at the funeral Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Snodgrass Funeral Home at South Charleston. Burial will be Wednesday in Churchill, Tenn., beside her husband, who died in 1960. on August 5, 1963.3

After his term in the Navy, Melvin became the business manager for Christiansburg Cash Register Company, a family business where he worked with his brothers and other family. Melvin is survived by: his father, Lewis H. Angle; two brothers and sister-in-law, Steve Angle, Van and Janice Angle; one sister and brother-in-law, Winona A. and David Baker; nephews, Shawn and Shannon Angle and Justin Angle; two nieces, Stacy and Andrea Baker; several aunts and uncles. We all loved him and we will miss him. Interment followed in Cole Family Cemetery. on January 10, 2002.9

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. ("Keaton") Craft; her parents, Thomas and Annie Jones; her mother-in-law, Artha Craft, and her very dear, longtime friend and father-in-law, Chester ("Pats") Craft. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Carol and Grover Persinger of Manvel, Texas, and Cindy and Monty Green of Pottsboro, Texas; a sister, Ruth Wade of Richmond, and three grandchildren, David Wayne Unroe and wife Anita, and AmiJo Hale and husband Brian of Clifton Forge, and Eric P. Bostic of New Castle. In addition, she has six lively and lovely great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a friend to all and a wonderful mom and "Gonny." Her life was a testimony of her love. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, with interment in Huffman Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. on June 16, 1996.1
