Eugene and Wanda Hogan, Meridian, Miss; M. David Hogan, Roanoke; three sisters, Alverta H. Roope, Martha H. Leftwich, Rose H. Dewitt, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 1992 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Rev. Carl V. Woodie officiating. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel. on July 30, 1992.2

     Delmon Edward Jarrell was born on January 2, 1941 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,2,3 He married Glenna Dare Epperly, daughter of Enever Douglas Epperly and Ruth Inez Slusser, on July 1, 1961 at Blacksburg, Virginia.1 Delmon Edward Jarrell and Glenna Dare Epperly were divorced on August 12, 1977 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.2 Delmon Edward Jarrell died on January 25, 2017 at Blacksburg, Virginia, at age 76.3 He Delmon Edward Jarrell, 76, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on January 2, 1941 to the late George Edward and Lillian (Icy) Phillips Jarrell. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Sifford and Bonnie Bennett. He was a machinist for over 50 years most recently with Cupp Tool and Die and Mountain Precision. Delmon's second career was golf. He is survived by his wife, Susie Jarrell; daughter, Daphne; two granddaughters, Nichole and Brooklyn; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Peyton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Conelia and Bobby Sifford, Janice and Emerson Rudacille; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Nancy Jarrell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeannie and George Clark; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tony and Wanda St. Clair; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery staff for their care. on January 27, 2017.3

She was born December 8, 1911 in Blacksburg, Va., daughter of the late Charles and Josie Slusser Allen. She was a member of St. Paul UMC and was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Elmore; three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, George D. and Lillian Allen of Salem, Va., Hugh Ledford and Melva Allen of Bristol, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Don Stansell officiating. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family suggests that those who prefer may make memorial donations to St. Paul UMC. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. is in charge of arrangements. on August 26, 2005.2
