Lawson, 60, of Clinton died at 8:34 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in the emergency room of West Central Community Hospital. The former City of Clinton employee worked in the water department and at one time served as the department's superintendent. He was born Dec. 28, 1943, in Clinton to Everett Gail Lawson and Doyne Poff Lawson. Survivors include his wife, Darla Harper Lawson of Clinton; his mother of Terre Haute; four daughters, Rolla Lawson and husband, John, of St. Bernice, Kim Jones and husband, Bryan, of Clinton, Donna Kay and fianc/, Douglas Kelsheimer, of St. Bernice and Starla Hane and husband, Jerry, of Clinton; one son, Scott Lawson of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren, Darcy, Ryan, Erin, Cody, Katlin, Brandon, Brittany, Morgan and Dustin; two sisters, Peggy and Janice; two brothers, Bob Lawson of Terre Haute and Jim Lawson of Clinton; special family friend, Pat Boatman of Rosedale; grandmother, Eva Poff of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, who died Oct. 14, 1995; and his grandfather, Harry Poff, who died in 1977. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 140 and Half Century Club. Graveside services are Wednesday in Little Grove Cemetery, with Bill Lowe officiating and graveside military rites by American Legion Post 140 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6653. No visitation is scheduled. Frist Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.3 He married Darla Harper.3 Donald G. Lawson was born on December 28, 1943 at Clinton Township, Vermilion Co., Indiana.3 He died on December 28, 2003 at Clinton Township, Vermilion Co., Indiana, at age 60.3

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor James R. Wright Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
