     Sarah Ann Kelcallin was buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.3 She was born on March 2, 1854 at Blue Ridge Springs, Bedford Co., Virginia.2 As of December 28, 1882,her married name was Gowen.4 She married Lawrence W. Gowen, son of James W. Going and Gabriella B. Sarah Skinner, on December 28, 1882 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.4,2,3 Sarah Ann Kelcallin died on March 17, 1940 at North Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 86.2,3 She Funeral service will be held here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Sarah Ann Gowen, 86 years old, mother of F. A. Cundiff, of Second avenue, who died at the home of another son, O. H. Cundiff, at Charleston Sunday morning at 7:00 o'clock. Burial will follow at Hilltop cemetery. Active pallbearers will ba W. L. Burk, M. H. Maloney, L. W. Lynch E. L. Craddock, F. T. Hughes and J. A. Cooper. Honorary pallbearers: O. O. Cooper, C. S. Fauleoner, John Scott, H. O. Graham, Dr. O. L. Pence, W. T. Fredeklng, C. M. Hinton, G. H. Phillips, S. O. Fredeklng, H. L. Miller, F. T. Reese, R. B. Turner, J. G. Fredeklng, W. F. Hurt, W. L. Glass, Harold Hulma, W. J. Kerby and James T. Smith, of Huntington. Mrs. Gowen was born in Blue Ridge Springs, Botetourt county, Va., in 1854, and came to Hinton in 1878. As an early resident of the city, she was widely know and held in high esteem. Mrs. Gowen was twice married, her first husband being W. R. Cundiff, who died in 1881. She later was married to L. W. Gowen, who died in 1905. She was a charter member of the Hinton chapter of the Grand International Auxiliary, being affiliated with the latter organisation for 48 years. She resided during the greater part of her life in Hinton, but in recent years aha had made her home in Charleston with her son. Besides her two sons, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mayme Hetzel, of Charleston, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. on March 18, 1940.3
