Preceding her in death were her husband, Clifton R; a son, William Robert Hale; her parents, William and Ida Romans; and eight siblings. Friends may call 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Tuesday at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave, Amherst. The Rev. Tom Corivja, pastor First Baptist Church, Lorain, and her friends, the Rev. Christopher Robinson and the Rev. Sherman Snider, will officiate. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. on August 3, 2003.2

C. Sturgill, burial following in the Mt. Tabor cemetery with Calfee undertakers in charge. Born near Blacksburg, Va., September 4, 1867, son of Albert L. and Mary Martin Willis, he had resided at Crab Orchard for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist church. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Katherine Cole Willis, and five children: Mrs. J. B. Wilson, Mrs. A. C. Allen, Mrs. O. W. Farley, J. A. Willis and Goff Willis, all of Crab Orchard. Twenty-three grandchildren are living. One brother, Giles A. Willis, resides at Charleston and a sister Mrs. J. W. Smith, at Crab Orchard. The body was returned to the home at Crab Orchard yesterday afternoon. Pallbearers were announced as follows: Active - Herbert Riffe, Duftey Riffe, Kenna Martin, Dewey Ellison, Murlin Smith, and Fred Covey. Honary - James P. Meadows, Clifford Lilly, John Hornbrook, R. C. Egnor, Dave Miller, A. C. Sutphin, Charles Stroud, W. S. Carter, H. T. Meadows, Bub Snuffer, F. H. Goode, J. W. Tolbert, J. E. Tolbert, Luther Tolbert, L. L. Johnson, and Mr. Hamlet. on March 8, 1936.3
