His family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckolls Rd., Glen Allen, Va. on December 20, 2002.3

Jewel Marie Albis Jewel Oliver Poff joined her heavenly family on December 16th. She was the daughter of the late Margaret and Louis Albis and the widow of H. Edward Oliver and Thomas Poff. She is survived by a son Edward Oliver, his wife Meg, three grandchildren - Carter Herndon of Charlotte, N.C; Wells Oliver of San Diego, California, and Langdon Oliver of Chesapeake, Va; ; four great grandchildren; a brother Vincent Albis, and many much loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Richard and Ricky Oliver. Jewel was indeed a jewel and was loved by everyone with whom she came in contact. She was a wonderful caretaker for her father; a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, mother in law, aunt, sister and friend. She was a former Sunday school teacher, a gardner, a seamstress, and a great cook. She adored children. Services will be held 12 Noon Friday, December 20 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen, Va. 23059. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fellowship Fund at Westminster Canterbury, 1600 Westbrook Ave, Richmond, Va., 23227. Bill spent many years cruising in his 1937 Chevy just for fun at car shows and events. The best times were spent traveling to the East Coast beaches and Disney World with the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laura Akers Vest; sister, Pat Humphreys; step grandchildren, Kari Yates (Billy), Todd Haymaker, and Danny Perdun (Candice); step grandchildren, Natalie Yates, Avery Yates and Ayla Perdun; two nephews, Robert Humphreys (Christine) and Jeffery Humphreys; and great-niece, Grace Humphreys. Michael Keith Gollihugh was born in May, 1965.4 He died on October 6, 2015 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 50.2 He Michael Keith Gollihugh, formerly of Pratt and Fayetteville, N.C., and most recently Charleston, was called to the Lord on Oct. 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Donald and Carol Macleery Gollighugh, formerly of Pratt and later Fayetteville, N.C. Surviving are his sister, Paula Gollihugh Caruthers and husband, Roger, of Diamond; nieces and nephews, Donald Ryan Bowen of Nitro, Christopher Bowen of Cross Lanes, Joshua Caruthers and wife, Beth, of Huntington, Jennifer Brunson of Fayetteville, N.C., and Malissie Caruthers of Nitro; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and wonderful relatives and wonderful friends. Michael will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. He had the ability to brighten a room with his presence and special aura. Michael's zest for life was contagious, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand with a smile on his face. Even in death Michael taught us a very valuable lesson: Love those around you with everything you have. Take every opportunity to show kindness. Tomorrow is never promised to us, it is a gift. on October 9, 2015.2
