Dudding Jr., 72 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, July 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Edith Dudding; sister, Linda; brother, Wayne; and nephew, Wesley Webb. He is survived by his sister, Jean Webb; brother, Clarence Wright (Kathy); several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Huffman Memorial Park with Pastor Kevin Altizer officiating. on July 7, 2021.¹

     Her married name was Paynotta.² Her married name was Hancock.¹ Linda Faye Dudding married Larry Hancock.^1,2 Linda Faye Dudding married Joseph Anthony Paynotta.² Linda Faye Dudding was born on October 3, 1934 at Craig Co., Virginia.⁵ She died on July 31, 2017 at Virginia at age 82.⁴ She Linda Faye Dudding, 82, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2017. She was reunited with her parents, Howard C. and Edith C. Dudding; brother, Wayne Dudding; and grandson, Nicholas Paynotta. Linda is survived by her children, Julie Paynotta and her children, Christine, Melissa, Jonathan, Sarah, David, Joseph, Rita, Anna, and Matt; Teresa Paynotta and her children, Amanda, Michael, Lillian and Abigail; Nicole Paynotta and granddogs, Jefferson, Rex and Bel; Lisa and Rick Clark and their child, Ryan Clemons; great- grandchildren, Mason, Max, Grayson, Geoël and Trevor; brothers, Howard Dudding Jr. and Clarence Wright and wife, Kathy; one sister, Jean Webb and husband, Harold; her cat, Wenk; and numerous other family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor Elmer Clemons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Snider; step-grandfather, Carman Hylton. Surviving are his parents, Weyman "Willie" and Charlotte Wilson; a sister and brother-in-law, Fonda and Dave Wilson and their daughter, Rebecca Ann; a brother, Dale Thomas Wilson, all of Cloverdale; grandmothers, Lillian N. Snider of Cloverdale and Canara Wilson Hylton of Troutville; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's East Chapel, 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2003, with the Rev. Glen A. McCrickard officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Botetourt County. The family suggests memorials be made to the Read Mountain Rescue Squad or Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. He had been employed by the Leccony Smokeless coal company for the past 12 years. He was born Aug. 9, 1916, son of P. C. and Ibra Collins Bell. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Wickline, of Besoco, and four children. Also, three brothers, Ralph and Posey of Josephine, and Harry, now serving in the United States army; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Helmick of Rhodell, Miss Geraldine and Miss Ethel Bell, both of Josephine. on November 29, 1948.⁷

He was a retired mechanic and sheet metal worker, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. His wife was the late Sadie Gilbert Conner. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Earl A. and Connie H. Conner of Hardy; two daughters, Frances J. Lambert and Iris A. Conner, both of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren, including two special grandchildren, Brandon Conner and Samantha Mason, and several great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at the graveside in Mountain View Cemetery. on March 9, 1998.²
