He was a former Justice of the Peace, owned and operated several area businesses in Wyoming County and was of the Protestant faith. He was preceded in death by a son, James “Jim” Laxton; a daughter, Earlene Laxton; five brothers, Sam, Lace, Center, John and Frank Jr. and a sister, Grace Shumate.
