     Colette Sue Campbell Collette Campbell Howell, May 5, 1947 - May 16th, 2023. We are sad to announce the passing of Sue Campbell Howell of Woodhaven Nursing Home. She died at age 76 on May 16, 11 days after her birthday. Sue passed away after a brief illness. Sue was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl and Velma Campbell. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Andrew Smith, three Granddaughters, Amber Exposito, Brittany Young, and Cassidy Smith, three Great Grandchildren, a special cousin, Linda Wheeling, several beloved caregivers, and many friends. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.      Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Bayne was born on July 10, 1946 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4 He married Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Rader, daughter of Rodney Edward Rader and Elsie Janette Martin, on July 27, 1973 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Bayne and Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Rader were divorced on January 22, 1991 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Bayne died on July 7, 2021 at Marietta, Cobb Co., Georgia, at age 74.² He Gerald "Jerry" W. Bayne - Jerry Bayne, age 74, of Fairmount, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Wellstar Kennestone Hopital in Marietta, Ga. Jerry was born on July 10, 1946, in Salem, Va., son of the late Frank Elias Bayne and Elaine Nolan Bayne. In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bayne; and sister and brother-in-law, Zella Sink and her husband, Melvin. Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. Jerry is survived by two sons, C.W.      Tambala Dale Zimmerman was born on February 16, 1959 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ As of June 23, 1997,her married name was Barnes.^2,3 She married Anthony Brian "Tony" Barnes Sr., son of Philip Carl Barnes Sr. and Elizabeth Jane "Jane" Conner, on June 23, 1997 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 Tambala Dale Zimmerman died on March 31, 2016 at Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 57.² She Tambala "Tammy" Dale Barnes, 57, of Callaway, left this world peacefully Thursday, March 31, 2016, after her courageous fight against cancer. Awaiting her arrival in Heaven with arms wide open are her mama, Edith Zimmerman; and her pops, Robert Fizer. Many close friends will be awaiting her arrival, including Carol Scruggs with a Harley ready so she can ride once again. She found true love in her soulmate, best friend, husband and caretaker, Tony Barnes. He showed true devotion and never left her side. She is also survived by her daughters, Brandie and Lloyd "Punkin" Mattox of Roanoke, Cristy Stamback and fiancé, Tabi Dehart of Bassett; stepson, Anthony Barnes and fiancée, Samantha Jones of Clifton Forge; stepdaughter, Courtney and Michael Wright of Covington; sister, Regina and Merrell Hopson of Roanoke; brother, Shane and Lisa Bailey of New Castle; grandchildren, Alexsis, Caleb, Deonta, Novia, Brianna, Arian; nephews, Jimbob, Jason, Christopher, Lucas Hopson; nieces, Dakota and Jadan Hopson. She was surrounded by tons of friends who loved her and visited often. Special appreciation goes out to her brother-in-law, Phillip Barnes; and family friends, Cornbread, Jason and Jen, for their caretaking efforts and the extra support they gave. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Flora Funeral Chapel. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. on April 2, 2016.²

     Janie Brugh was born on September 19, 1927 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.² As of July 24, 2004,her married name was Hancock.¹ She married Benjamin Morgan Hancock, son of William Benjamin "Ben" Hancock and Mary Etta Montgomery, on July 24, 2004 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2 Janie Brugh died on September 7, 2008 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 80.^3,2 She Janie B. Woodson Hancock, 80, of Salem, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008, after a brave and hard fought battle with leukemia. She was born on September 19, 1927, in Botetourt County and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Kitty Brugh. Janie retired from General Electric and she became the first lady barber in Roanoke in 1954. She was a member of Community Church. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Woodson; daughter, Linda Woodson Caldwell; stepson, Gary Hancock; a brother, Walter C. Brugh; and a sister, Bernadine Ulrey. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin M. Hancock; two sons, Douglas Woodson and wife, Nancey, of Salem, and Marshall Woodson, of Fort Worth, Texas; stepson, Glen Hancock and Barbara, of Riner; stepdaughters, Darlene Hancock and Sandra Mannin, both of Salem; two brothers, Henry E. Brugh, of Botetourt County, and Bill Brugh, of Georgia; sister, Kathleen Hale, of Salem; four grandchildren, Crystal Engle, Troy Woodson, Trevor Woodson and Tyler Woodson; four step grandchildren, Logan Caldwell, Thorson Hiesler, Amy Hancock and Amber Hancock; two greatgrandchildren, Autumn Engle and Austin Engle; and many special friends, foster children, and loved ones in the community. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at the Chapel of John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home with the Pastor Tom McCrackin officiating. Interment will follow at Old Dominion Cemetery on Cloverdale Road in Daleville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Flowers are welcomed, however, memorial contributions may be made to Community Church Building Fund, 4625 W. Main St., Salem, Va. 24153. on September 9, 2008.²

W., Roanoke, Virginia.⁶ He was born on May 25, 1972 at Roanoke, Virginia.³ He married Sandra Leigh Hancock, daughter of Benjamin Morgan Hancock and Rachel Virginia Cundiff, on April 9, 1994 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,6,8 Kevin Scott Manning died on August 8, 2015 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 43.⁶ He Kevin Scott Manning, 43, of Salem, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Jones Manning; uncle, Roger G. Manning; grandparents, Glenna C. and Herbert W. Manning, and Edwin M. and Ethel H. Jones; mother-in-law, Virginia Hancock; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Hancock. Family remaining to cherish his memory includes his wife, Sandra Hancock Manning; daughter, Amber Hancock Manning; father, Donald Manning and wife, Cindy; sister, Candice A. Manning; stepbrother, Joseph S.
