Dorothy Lee Woolverton was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.2,3 She was born on December 14, 1929 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.1,2,3 She died on January 5, 1934 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 4.2,3 She Her Christmas present, a toy truck, brought death to four-year-old Dorothy Woolverton of Friday evening in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville E. Woolverton, 508 South 36th street. Physicians today were uncertain regarding the exact cause of the child's death. She fell Sunday afternoon while playing in the front room of her home, apparently having slipped while trying to ride the tiny truck. Her left temple struck against a corner of a library table, and the child failed to regain consciousness. The toy which caused little Dorothy's death was one of a few which Mr. and Mrs. Woolverton were able to provide on Christmas day for their three children. Unemployed for more than three years, the father only recently obtained work with the CWA in South Bend. The child was born in South Bend Dec. 14, 1929, and besides her parents, is survived by a brother, Howard and a sister, Eleanor Louise, both at home. One step-sister, Bessie Woolverton, of Terre Haute, Ind., and two stepbrothers, Carl and Charles Gordon, of South Bend, also survive. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Mishawaka. on January 6, 1964.3
