Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Keith of Lakewood, Ohio and Mrs. Mary Meadows of Peru, Ind. on April 5, 1968.6

     Ellis Wayne Simpson was buried at Jacksonville Burial Ground, Rt. 8, 0.25 miles south of Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.2 He was born on December 3, 1937 at Virginia.4,3 He married Audrey Kemp circa 1965.2 Ellis Wayne Simpson died on September 10, 2006 at Virginia at age 68.2,4 He Ellis Wayne Simpson, 68, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and Cora DeWeese Simpson; and several brothers and sisters. He retired from Precision Fabrics. Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Audrey Kemp Simpson; daughter, Trina I. Simpson of Roanoke; brother, Hugh W. Simpson and wife Delores of Bent Mountain; sisters, Doris S. Poling of Roanoke, Laura S. Wimmer and husband Newton of Jacksonville, N.C. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Raleigh Court Health Care Center and to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for their many acts of kindness and compassion during Wayne's illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3825 Electric Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24018. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in Jacksonville Cemetery, Floyd, by the Rev. Bruce Tuttle. Martin, both of Roanoke; three sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil L. and Wanda Hill, Donald R. and Shelby Hill, and Ricky L. and Shirley Hill, all of Roanoke; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde T. (Dollie) Finney and Mrs. Walter W. (Rosetta) Lambert, both of Roanoke; one brother, James Alonza Moran, Staunton; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Helen B. Moran, Roanoke; Mrs. Velma Spangler, Floyd; Mrs. Darlene Duncan, Christiansburg; and Mrs Ruth Hill, Roanoke; one brother-in-law, E. C. Hill Jr., Floyd; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren on Rt 730. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on January 27, 1986.6 She died on December 26, 1986 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 64.4
