     Rev. David Anthony Argo Rev. David Anthony “Tony” Argo, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He graduated from Brevard College where he played in many bands and music groups before beginning his career as a Minister of Music at Haymount United Methodist Church. He shared his musical talent with the Haymount UMC family for 40 years. Tony was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate of 40 years, Karen Argo; and his parents, Rev. and Mrs. W.D. Argo. He is survived by his brother, Dale Argo of Kannapolis; niece, Leanna Woodward and husband, Matthew, and their children, Austin, Avery, Alex, and Logan, all of Kannapolis; sister-in-law, Lanette Tysinger and husband, John, of Denton; niece, Sherra Tysinger, of Durham; nephew, Daniel Tysinger and his wife Kathryn and their two daughters, Zelda and Astrid of Lexington.⁵ He was buried at Toms Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 335 Toms Creek Church Road, Denton, Davidson Co., North Carolina.⁴ He was born on December 21, 1945 at Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina.^2,3,4 He married Vicki Jeanette Thompson, daughter of Rev. Max Wiley Thompson and Theresa Houck, on August 9, 1974 at Clifton Forge, Alleghany Co., Virginia.¹ Rev. David Anthony Argo and Vicki Jeanette Thompson were divorced on March 10, 1977 at Virginia Beach, Virginia.⁶ Rev. David Anthony Argo died on April 28, 2022 at Fayetteville, Cumberland Co., North Carolina, at age 76.^4,5
