She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Clarence L. Bishop Jr. (Brooke), Celia Cassell, Earl Bishop (Sue), Lois Burnette, and Sylvia Rutherford; and other extended family and friends. Nancy loved everybody and everybody loved Nancy. She loved cooking for her family and friends as well as taking care of them, which she did so well. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. on April 28, 2012.2

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Connie Shumate and her husband, Wayne, of Princeton and Mary Ann Taylor and her husband, Eric, of Barkers Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Hardy of Mullens; six sons, Kenneth Hardy and his wife, Barbara, of Amigo, Albert Hardy and his wife, Jennifer, of North Carolina, Steve Hardy and his wife, Andrea, of Mullens, James Hardy and his wife, Robin, of Beaver, Virgil Hardy and his wife, Vinita, of Rhodell, and John Hardy and his wife, Marlena, of Beckley; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rosie Mills of Peterstown, Louise Bishop and her husband, Willie, of Bradley, and Lorene Jones and her husband, Clinton, of Edmond; and one brother, Billy Smith of Kincaid. Burial will follow in the Milam Cemetery, Sand Gap. Sons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Manning and David Lane who were like her sons. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Tracy Lane for the care she gave to Mrs. Hardy. on July 16, 2010.3

Louise was born on September 15, 1936, in Oak Hill, WV, to the late William “Bill” and Bertha Smith. In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband Willie Bishop, brothers Howard Smith and Delano Smith, sisters Clarice Smith, Mary Hardy, and Rosie Mills, and son-in-law Kenneth Hall. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Christy Pack, Ann Hall, Pam Evans, Mike Bishop, and Lisa Derringer, and grandchildren Jenny Hall, Logan Hall, Jacob Bishop, Tameka Cook, Erin Derringer, and Chris Derringer. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.3 She was buried at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3 She was born on September 15, 1936 at Scarbro, Fayette Co., West Virginia.2,3 As of July 29, 1955,her married name was Bishop.2 She married Willie Hall Bishop on July 29, 1955 at Bradley, Fayette Co., West Virginia; Edna was a widow according to the marriage record.2,6,3 Edna Louise Smith died on September 14, 2023 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 86.3

She was born on February 21, 1934 in Fayetteville, West Virginia and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for over 40 years, moving from Cleveland. She worked as a Supervisor for H&R Block for many years. Minnie enjoyed reading, watching the birds she fed throughout the year in her backyard, and in the summer months, loved tending to her garden and rose bushes. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James; daughter Sue (John) Kelly of North Ridgeville; sons Michael and David Arthur on North Ridgeville; grandsons Shawn (Melissa) Kelly and Brian Kelly; granddaughter Jennifer Martin; sister Ruth Likens; brother Clifford Eads; many nieces and nephews.
Minnie was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Martin; parents William and Emma (nee Smith) Likens; sister Vivian Likens; brother Robert Likens. Interment will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.6 She was born on February 21, 1934 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.10,11,4,5,6 She married James R.
