The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The remains will also lie in state at the church one hour prior to funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Building Fund. on August 19, 2000.3

The funeral will be conducted at Hill Top Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. W. R. Turner of Hill Top and the Rev. C. D. Whited of Union officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park at Oak Hill. The body will be removed from the Thomas Funeral Home in Oak Hill to the residence at 10 a.m. Wednesday and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. on May 23, 1956.4
