Frank Wimmer officiating with interment in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd. on February 8, 1991.1

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Elvin Ingram; parents, Morris Allen and Ida Mae Cannaday Vest; brothers Kyle A. Vest, Ralph M. Vest, David R. Vest; sister, Dorothy V. Janney. She is survived by her sons, David W. Ingram (Teresa M.) and Robert L. Ingram (Amy J.); grandchildren, Wayne Ingram (Brandi M.) and their children Rafe Joseph, Limary Ann, and Tripp Lane, Kassie Landes (Tyler) and their children Lilian Grayce and Theodore Trent, and Jordan Levi Ingram; brothers, Paul L. Vest, Charles W. Vest (Loretta P.), James B. Vest (Katie S.); sister, Marie V. Thomas (Bill); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Ruth was a graduate of Check High School. She spent most of her adult life working with the public at G. J. Ingram and Son Store alongside her husband and sons whom she dearly loved. She was always working, caring for others, working outside in her flower and vegetable gardens, canning and preserving foods. She was a role model for others sharing her talents and life skills freely. Because of these traits and strengths, she was a crucial part in the success of the family business. Her duties varied from farm staff to owner of G. J. Ingram and Son Store and Little River Dairy. She was a master of all that she touched. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Ruth's devoted sister and selfless caregiver Marie Thomas. We also greatly appreciate her other caregivers Pam, Athena, Katherine, Pansy, Perky, Sally and Lisa. Annette Tyler was buried at Restvale Cemetery, 7529 Rt. 221, Check, Floyd Co., Virginia.4,2 She was born on April 24, 1933 at Blue Ridge, Botetourt Co., Virginia.1,2,3,4 She married Morgan Blaine Bartlett, son of John Boyd "Johnnie" Bartlett and Golda Christina "Goldie" Conner, on May 25, 1985 at Troutville, Botetourt Co., Virginia.5,1,3 As of May 25, 1985,her married name was Bartlett.1 Annette Tyler died on January 4, 2021 at Virginia at age 87.2,4 She Annette Tyler Bartlett of Copper Hill, Virginia, affectionately known as Sweet Pea by family and many others, departed this life on Monday, January 4, 2021. She loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Copper Hill, Virginia for 30 years. She had a talent for poetry and loved her family and her animals. Annette was born in Blue Ridge, Virginia to the late Herman A. and Irene J. Tyler on April 24, 1933. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Archie, Arthur, Price, Lenny, and William; two sisters, Katherine and Martha; and step-son, Alton Bartlett. Annette is survived by her husband of 35 years, Morgan; two daughters, Cathy Overacre and Lynette Broughman; step-daughter, Kathi Richardson; three sisters, Jane, Nancy, and Helen; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the folks at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and especially to the Palliative Care for her care and to the staff at Friendship South. Graveside Service will be held at Rest Vale Cemetery. on January 6, 2021.2
