Stinnett, September 9, 1931 - March 13, 2022. Donald L. Stinnett, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. M.S. and Lois Ikenberry Stinnett; his first wife, Betsy C. Stinnett; and his sister, Phyllis Stinnett. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sarah Brewbaker Stinnett; his sister, Catherine Jane Gibson (husband Leonard); and his three children, Donna L. Edwards (husband Kenny), David R. Stinnett (wife Susan), and Laura E. Stinnett (wife Kara); and five grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Corey, Sarah and Austin. Don was born and grew up in Buchanan, Va. He then attended and graduated from Fishburne Military School. After attending Bridgewater and Roanoke Colleges, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years, with wonderful adventures while stationed in Germany and England. He then returned to Va., where he met Betsy C. Stinnett, mother of his children. They moved to Richmond, Va., where Don graduated from the University of Richmond. From there they went back to Roanoke, where Don received his Master's Degree from Radford University. Donald was a teacher and counselor at both the secondary and college level; as well, he worked as a ranger on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the 1960s, and he was the owner of an import/export business in the 1970s. Don moved back to Richmond in 1993. He and Sarah B. Stinnett were married in 1998. They travelled and had many adventures in their retirement years. Donald was a member and commander of American Legion Post 361, a member of the Richmond Lion's Club, and a member of the 40 and 8 Society. He was a former member of the Buchanan Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Buchanan Rotary Club. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church with his wife Sarah in his final years. Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he was adored by his family. He was deeply loved and will be missed. on March 20, 2022.2

Margaret was a graduate of Christiansburg High School. She was for many years an employee of Hills Department Store in Christiansburg. She was preceded in death by her husband John as well as her first husband, Sonny Willis, and several siblings. She is survived by her sister Dorothy L. Sarver (Frank) and brother Stanley Long, both of Christiansburg; her beloved niece Lisa S. Newman (Joel) of Ashland, Va; and many other relatives and cherished friends. She was interred in a private ceremony at Sunset Cemetery.3 She was born on February 22, 1939 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,2 As of April 5, 1974,her married name was Gray.1 She married John Guerrant Gray Jr., son of John Guerrant Gray Sr. and Mildred Beatrice Poff, on April 5, 1974 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,3 Margaret Elizabeth Long died on October 3, 2022 at Virginia at age 83.3

James Robert Troutt James Robert Troutt, 74, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away at Heritage Hall, Blacksburg, VA on Saturday, December 9, 2023. He will be missed but is at rest now. He was born in Bedford, VA on January 1, 1949 (actually Montgomery, Co. on Jan 29, 1949), to the late Richard Nelson and Alice Estelle Shephard Troutt. He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Irene E. Troutt Slusser Vaughn and Jerry Vaughn. He leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Thompson Troutt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Pam Troutt of Vine Grove, KY, Dwayne and Brenda Troutt of Floyd County, VA, Harry and Brenda Troutt of Dunnellon, FL; brothers-in-law, Gary Thompson, Karen and Doug Gilmore, and Keith and Beverly Hawley all of Christiansburg, VA; half-sister, Rita Bradbury (Robert), many nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers, along with Bass Clubs members he knew. James worked at Burlington Mills (later known as NRI) in Radford, as a smash hand for 35 years. His hobby was fishing in Bass Clubs starting with Old Virginia Bass Club and ending with Black Hollow Bass Masters. He dearly loved to fish when he was not working. He also loved to hang out at the shooting range with family and friends. Many thanks and appreciation go out to Heritage Hall Blacksburg for their care and kindness to him. A memorial service is being planned to be held in the spring.2 He was born on January 29, 1949 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,3,4 He married Clara Mary Quesenberry, daughter of George William Quesenberry and Clara May Poff, on June 7, 1974 at Pilot, Montgomery Co., Virginia.1 James Robert Troutt and Clara Mary Quesenberry were divorced on October 16, 1981 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.4 James Robert Troutt died on December 9, 2023 at Blacksburg, Virginia, at age 74.2
