He was a member of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren and a dedicated Dad, Grandpa, and fisherman. He was born on June 7,1917 in Floyd County to the late Meda and Will Graham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Alderman and Ibra Harris; his brothers, Ed, Branson, and Jim Graham. He is survived by his wife of 64 Years, Elsie Mannon Graham, Floyd; two daughters, Shelby G. Throckmorton, Virginia Beach, Va., Kathy L. Graham, Nashville, Tenn; three sons and daughters-in-law, C. Kenneth and Barbara A. Graham, Connie R. and Joyce J. Graham, H. Dean and Donna S. Graham, all of Floyd; special granddaughter, Lisa G. King, Floyd; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Altizer, Christiansburg, Lillian Reed, Floyd. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday October 20, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard W. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Creek Church Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Saturday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad. He was a good husband and a loving and wonderful father. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile. After retirement he spent many enjoyable hours on his front porch.
