     Dr. Nicolo Giorgio Lo Mascolo was buried at Sunrise Burial Park, Fairlawn, Pulaski Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on July 28, 1916 at Italy.⁶ He married Geraldine Frances "Gerry" Conner, daughter of Estral Ray Conner and Mary Frances Jefferson, on August 13, 1980 at Roanoke, Virginia.^8,1,2,3,5 Dr. Nicolo Giorgio Lo Mascolo died on July 3, 2003 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 86.^4,7 He LO MASCOLO, Nicolo, 86, of Radford, died Thursday, July 3, 2003 in Carilion New River Medical Center. He was a retired Doctor of Music at Radford University. Surviving are his wife Gerry C. Lo Mascolo, Radford; his children and their spouses, Angelo and Susan Lo Mascolo, New York, Orlando, and Patsy Lo Mascolo, Knoxville, Tenn., Carlo and Cheryl Lo Mascolo, Radford, Gabriella and Stan Stanley, Dinwiddie, Giuliana and Ron Vega, Charlotte, N.C., Gloria and Gary Gibson, Roanoke, Giovanna and Jack Preston, Stuarts Draft; a brother-in-law, Nindo Perrino, Milan, Italy; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren also survive. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. on July 5, 2003.⁴

     Vera Zetta Conner Vera Conner Shank, 52, of Floyd, formerly of Servern, Md., died Sunday in a Shawsville nursing home. She was the wife of Alvin Shank. Also surviving are two sons, James E. Shank, Crownsville, Md; Thomas M. Shank, Laurel, Md; three sisters, Mrs. Carson Light, Roanoke; Mrs. Doy Light, Pilot; Mrs. Garland Aldridge, Check; a brother, Arvel Conner, Shawsville. The funeral will be at the Piedmont Holiness Church, near Shawsville, with burial in the church cemetery.⁵ She was buried at Piedmont Cemetery, Rt. 11 to Shawsville, turn at nursing home, Rt. 637, about 8 miles on the left, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2,5,6,7 She was born on January 10, 1919 at Otey, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^10,2,3,8 She married William Alvin Shanks, son of Doctor McKinley "Dock" Shanks Sr. and Ethel E.      Nettie May Williams was buried at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, Vernon Co., Missouri.^6,3 She was born on July 14, 1913 at Missouri.^7,3 She married Jack Carl Davis on March 16, 1935. As of March 16, 1935,her married name was Davis. Nettie May Williams married Alva Porter Toms on December 12, 1939.² As of December 12, 1939,her married name was Toms. Nettie May Williams married William Jennings Bryan Overton on July 17, 1950 at Bentonville, Benton Co., Arkansas.^8,9,3,10 As of July 17, 1950,her married name was Overton.⁸ Nettie May Williams died on July 2, 1962 at Center Township, Vernon Co., Missouri, at age 48.³

     Richard Allen Light was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^3,7 His Social Security Number was 223-84-6252.⁹ He married Soraya Unknown.³ Richard Allen Light was born on August 15, 1958 at Roanoke, Virginia.^5,7,9 He married Kim Ellen Worley on January 15, 1981 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁶ Richard Allen Light and Kim Ellen Worley were divorced on June 8, 1992 at Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina.¹⁰ Richard Allen Light died on November 16, 2009 at North Carolina at age 51.^3,7,9 He Richard Allen Light, 51, of Denver, N.C., and formerly of Salem, Va., passed away suddenly on Monday, November 16, 2009.      Roger Wayne Light Roger Wayne Light, 62, of Salem, VA passed away Friday, June 14, 2024. He was born to parents James Wiley Light and the late Loretta Kesler Light in Roanoke, VA on Friday, March 9, 1962. Roger was a former Salem High School football player and a passionate sports fan. Some of his favorite teams included the Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals, and the Hershey Bears. However, he strongly disliked the Dallas Cowboys and The Pittsburgh Penguins. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, John & Allie Kesler, William & Hazel Light, and brother Richard Light. Those left to cherish Roger’s memory include his son, Dr. Travis Light; brother, Randall Light; girlfriend, Cathy Lumpkin and best friend Norman Russell.³ He was born on March 9, 1962 at Roanoke, Virginia.³ He married Elizabeth A. Hayes on August 8, 1987 at Baltimore, Maryland.^2,5 Roger Wayne Light died on June 14, 2024 at Virginia at age 62.³

     Mary Sue Conner was born on August 27, 1937 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^3,5,6 She married James Raymond Farris on November 13, 1965 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,5 As of November 13, 1965,her married name was Farris. Mary Sue Conner died on March 28, 2021 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 83.⁵ She Mary Sue Farris, 83, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at The Health Center at Richfield. She was born on August 27, 1937, in Shawsville, Va., daughter of the late Arvel Elwyn and Ruth Smith Conner. As the pianist for 30 plus years at Seneca Baptist Church, in Elliston, Va., it is to no surprise of her love for music. Mary was an extremely bright person with a great sense of humor. She was very sociable and outgoing, but she will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, James Raymond Farris. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her sons, James Anthony Farris and fiancée, Sheila, of Salem, Va., and Joseph Conner of Roanoke, Va; sister, Mildred Hall (Wes) of Salem, Va; grandchildren, Tracy Hartman, Angela Tincher, and Melissa Epperson; great-grandchildren, Heather Thomas, Jason Tincher Jr., Anthony Varner, Danielle Tincher, Cloe McCray, Dayton McCray, and Brayden Epperson; great great-grandchildren, Avery Thomas, Will Thomas, and Jaxon Tincher; and stepdaughter, Ruth (Renie) Mollette. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Nakita and Maria who took exceptionally good care of Mary during her illness, as well as the staff of Richfield for their loving care over the years.
