She enjoyed life by being interested in many things, painting, baking and floral arranging. She sold her baked goods at the Salem Farmers Market for many years. She sold Avon and was in the presidents club and worked at Marezels Flowers, but mostly enjoyed being with her children. Those left to remember her are her children, Jerry Conner and wife, Joyce, Aileen Moore and husband, Kelley, Les Conner and wife, Lea Ann, and Lisa Newman and husband, Rev. Danny Newman; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with the Rev. Danny Newman and the Rev. Jim Walls officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, January 9, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Conner family is being served by John M. Oakey and Son, Salem, Va., on January 8, 2013.2
