Virginia Annette Whitlow1,2

F, b. August 21, 1934, d. August 16, 2018
Virginia Annette Whitlow Virginia Annette Whitlow Saul, August 21, 1934 - August 16, 2018. Virginia Annette Saul, age 83 of Rocky Mount, passed quietly on Thursday morning August 16, 2018 in her sleep and was embraced by the arms of her Lord and Savior and greeted by her husband, Earl Saul; her parents, TL and Geneva Whitlow; her baby brother, R.J; and special aunt, Virginia Agee; and many other family and friends. Mom was a hard-working woman. She married dad in December of 1951 and they lived in Callaway. She carried buckets of water from the spring for all things and chopped her wood for her kitchen stove. She worked beside dad in the garden, hayfields, and the farm, and still took care of all the duties of a housewife and mother. Mom and Dad owned and operated Saul's Grocery at Six Mile Post in the 60's. Mom started her first public job in the mid 70's at Virginia Apparel Corp. and retired after 20 years of employment. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church for over 40 years and was a Lay Speaker, a Lay Leader and Secretary for the UMW. We have never heard anyone say a bad word about mom. She was a kind, carrying and loving woman. She always greeted people with a smile and hello. She is dearly loved by many not just her family. She loved her flowers, sunshine, bluegrass music, western shows and ice cream. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Carlton and Kay Saul; daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Saul, Sharon and Jerry Trammell; grandchildren, Natasha Saul and Gary Prater, Jackson Saul, Richard and Heather Ferguson, Jessica Ferguson, Ashley, Sandra and Katherine Altice; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Ferguson and Cameron Ingle, Richard Ferguson, Jr., Brenden Saul, Wyatt and Nathan Prater; brother, Roger and Irla Whitlow; sisters-in-laws, Helen Wray, Leatha and Floyd Wheeler; aunt, Mattie Massey; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
