She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Boitnott and her grandson, Richard Boitnott.² She was born on July 15, 1933 at Maryland.^1,2 As of December 31, 1987,her married name was Martin.¹ She married Edward Raymond "Eddie" Martin, son of Graden Lee Martin and Zettie Green Lawrence, on December 31, 1987 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ Shirley Marie Stump died on April 24, 2024 at Virginia at age 90.²

     James Daniel "Dan" McNiel was born on March 14, 1959 at Virginia.^2,3 He married Mary Frances Griffith on July 28, 1992 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,3 James Daniel "Dan" McNiel and Mary Frances Griffith were divorced on April 3, 1996 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁶ James Daniel "Dan" McNiel died on February 6, 2020 at Virginia at age 60.⁵ He James Daniel "Dan" McNiel, age 60, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2020, following a long battle with cancer. A graduate of Auburn High School, he received a bachelor's degree from James Madison University in Communications. Dan worked a variety of jobs during his time, but the work he was most proud of was his time as a sportswriter for various newspapers. Dan loved sports, watching the Tour de France, Civil War history, classic rock, and studying the Bible. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ralph McNiel and Daphne Louise McNiel (née Wimmer); his sisters, Mary Ann Poff and Sue Altizer; and brother-in-law, Frank Wallace. He is survived by his daughter, Danielle McNiel; sisters, Carol Clower, June McNiel, and Betty McNiel; brothers-in-law, Stan Clower, Terry Altizer, and Kevin Killeen; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express its gratitude to Good Samaritan Hospice for their wonderful support and care during Dan's final days. on February 9, 2020.⁵

Winston Haynes and Betty Haynes, Roanoke; and an aunt, Mrs. Mary Kawas, Miami, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at the gravesite at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 1997 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The Rev. John Hamric and the Rev. Frank Feather will officiate. After moving to Titusville in 1956, he was employed as an Electrical Engineer by Lockheed/Martin at Cape Canaveral for 26 years. He was also employed by the Architectural firm of James E. Gibson in Vero Beach for three years. A U.S. Army veteran, Richard served in World War II under General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
