     Avis Leonard Burdette was buried at Sams Cemetery, Rt. 4 at top of Dulls Creek Mountain, Procious, Clay Co., West Virginia.^5,8 He was born on February 26, 1936 at West Virginia.⁸ He died on November 1, 2015 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 79.^5,8 He Avis Leonard Burdette, 79, of Procious, went into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. He was the son of the late Adam Webster "Web" Burdette and Lizzy Maude Starcher Burdette. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Brooks, Clyde, Harold and Blaine, and his only sister, Ola Virginia Burdette Davis, all formerly of Procious. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews. As a younger man, Leonard spent his time farming and working for the West Virginia Department of Highways in Clay. Leonard will be laid to rest with a graveside service at Sams Cemetery, Procious. on November 4, 2015.⁵
