Survivors include three children, Dianna Carter of Oak Hill, Penny Edwards of Winston-Salem and Edward Legg Jr. of Winston-Salem; four sisters, Polly McClung and husband, Russell, of Fayetteville, Drema Bowe of Oak Hill, Wandaleen Shyblosky and husband, Larry, of Crossville, Tenn., and Kay Allen and husband, Joe, of Clendenin; and two brothers, Jerry Epperly and wife, Judy, of Oak Hill and Larry Epperly and wife, Sharon, of Goshen, Ind. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Shawn Carter, Jason Carter, Tiffany Carter, Michael Edwards, Jessica Edwards and Courtney Mabe; and a great-grandchild, Mia Carter. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Ellen L. File officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Larry was born February 17, 1935 in Oak Hill, West Virginia to Ervin Edgar and Maude Minnie (Martin) Epperly. Larry married Sharon Dunbar on Dec. 1, 1956. She survives along with a daughter, Dianne (Richard) Pierce of Wayne, MI; a son, Michael (Betty) Epperly of Ada, MI; four siblings, Polly (Russell) McClung of Fayetteville, WV, Wandalene (Larry) Shyblosky of Lebanon, TN, Drema (Wesley) McClanahan of Oak Hill, WV, Kay (Joe) Allen of Fayettville, WV; four grandchildren, Doug Pierce, Joshua, Jacob, Rachel Epperly; and one great-grandchild, Maya Pierce. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service Friday, April 20, 2012 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Congregational Holiness Cemetery in Shawsville. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, James; five brothers and three sisters. Edna was born the daughter of William and Bertha Epperly Howard on Feb. 28, 1926. She married James Eli Ellickson on Jan. 5, 1946. He died in 1982. Edna retired in 1985 from Rockwell Collins, where she had been employed for 27 years. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. on August 17, 2014.7

He served in the U.S. Army. He later became an electrical engineer and followed in his father's footsteps in the family owned business Lastar Electric. Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Howard Lastar. He is survived by his wife Faythe; daughter Sheryl Allen; sisters Shirley Podolsky and Beverly Natelson; grandchildren Jeremy Allen, Brittany Tefft, and Brigitte Allen; and great-grandson Jimmy Allen. Services are being held in Arizona. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041.
