     Ervin Edgar Epperly was buried at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.5 He was born on December 13, 1909 at Huffville, Floyd Co., Virginia.5 He married Maude Minnie Martin, daughter of Amos Dickerson Martin and Alice Lacey Spangler, circa 1928.6,2,7,8,5 Ervin Edgar Epperly died on November 26, 1956 at Montgomery, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 46.1,5 He Oak Hill, Nov. 27 - Funeral services for Ervin E. Epperly, 46, Ford Addition, Oak Hill, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Oak Hill Methodist Church by Dr. C. G. Eastwood, pastor. Burial will be in the High Lawn Memorial Park here. The body will remain at the Thomas Funeral Home here until the service hour. Epperly died at 4 p.m. Monday in a Montgomery hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident on U. S. 60 east of Glasgow early Sunday. He was a stockholder and manager of Belle Furniture Co. Inc. here and held membership in the White Oak Country Club, the Loyal Order of Moose and the Oak Hill Rotary Club. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Born at Huffville, Va., on Dec. 13, 1909, he was a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Epperly and the late William Ace Epperly. Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude Martin Epperly; two brothers, Clarence, Oak Hill, and Hollis, Fayetteville; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Buttrick, Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Flora Burch, San Juan, Calif., Mrs. Hallie Martin, Oak Hill, Mrs. Myrtle Hundley and Mrs. Willie Goff, both of Fayetteville; three sons, Larry and Ervin E. Jr., both of Detriot, and Jerry, Oak Hill; five daughters, Mrs. Polly Jo McClung, Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Loretta Jones, Oak Hill, and Dreama, Wandalene and Kay, all at home. Injured in the accident were Ralph Lafon, 20, Fayetteville, and Thomas Mulligan, 35, Longacre. They were released from a Montgomery hospital this morning. State Trooper C. T. Brammer of the Chelyan Detachment said the two men appeared before Magistrate Frank L. Derrett this afternoon. Lafon was charged with drunken driving and negligent homicide. He was released $500 appearance bond. The office blamed the accident on "high speed". The 1956 model car involved was owned by Epperly. It was described as a total loss. The trio was reportedly en route from Charleston to Oak Hill when the accident occurred. on November 28, 1956.5

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Warren Epperly, on April 4, 2000; one brother; and four sisters. Left to cherish his memory include his children, Wayne Epperly and wife, Diane, of Oak Hill, Jan Brown of King George, Va., and David Epperly and wife, Tammy, of Winfield; two sisters, Gladys Yon of Ashville, N.C., and Nira Flint of Roanoke, Va; six grandchildren, Becky Epperly, Drew Epperly, Lisa Epperly, Ricky Epperly, Madison Brown, and Riley Brown; dear friend, Janet Sutphin; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Pete Lokant officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 149, Fayetteville, will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Dr. Bryan Smith officiating. The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Mission Fund or to the Roanoke Rescue Mission. on August 6, 2019.3

     Jerry Wallace Epperly Jerry Wallace Epperly, age 78, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at the VAMC in Beckley, WV after a long illness. Born January 21, 1933 at Fayetteville, WV, he was the son of the late Ervin and Maude Minnie Martin Epperly. For many years Jerry was a well known, well liked salesman with Standard Coffee Company. He was former Vice President and Sales Manager at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with 36 years service. He was a graduate of Collins High School where he was a member of the Red Devil football team and served his country as a corporal with the US Army during the Korean War. A daughter, Karla Elaine Epperly, one brother, Ervin Epperly, and by a sister, Loretta Legg preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Judy Ann Quesenberry Epperly of Oak Hill, his two sons, Jerry Lee Epperly and wife, Maria of Oak Hill, Charles Ervin Epperly of Oak Hill, one step son, Lee Lafferty of Fayetteville, WV, two stepdaughters, Claudia Kania and her husband, Ted of Oak Hill and Paula Reid and husband ,Charles of Charleston, SC, and his father and mother-in-law, Claude and Sylvia Quesenberry of Oak Hill. Also surviving are his ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren in addition to his brother, Larry Epperly and wife, Sharon of Goshen, Indiana, four sisters, Polly McClung and husband, Russell of Fayetteville, Kay Allen and husband, Joe of Oak Hill, Drema McClelland and husband, Wesley of Oak Hill and Wandaleen Shyblosky and husband, Larry of Lebanon, TN, sisters-in-law, Elaine Epperly of Dearborn, MI.and Joyce Cobb and husband, Mike of Oak Hill and by several nieces and nephews. The Epperly family wishes to extend a special thanks to Erma Adams and the hospice nurses at the VA Medical Center in Beckley, to Debbie Dees of the VA and James Blair, a very special friend. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Paul Bricker officiating.
