She was also preceded in death by a sister, Francis Elmore, and two brothers, Garman Poff and Julian Poff. Mrs. Stump was employed by Roanoke Fashions for many years. She was a member of Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Callaway. She was the beloved mother to her children, Michael G. Stump and his wife Anita M., Roanoke, George A. ("Tony") Stump and his wife Jean, Salem, Stephen R. Stump and his wife Janet, Salem, and Kimberly S. Lawrence and her husband Rodney, Roanoke. She was the cherished grandmother to Megan M. Stump, Kristopher M. Stump, Kelly N. Markle and her husband Jason, Katie Lynne Stump, Laura M. Stump, Ashley E. Stump, Trevor S. Stump, Sarah K. Lawrence, and Margee R. Lawrence. She was also the beloved great-grandmother to Jordyn M. Markle. She is also survived by her two sisters, Stella Wertz, and Florence Williams and her husband Houston; and her two brothers, George Poff and his wife Grace, and Ralph Poff and his wife Ruth. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ron and Peggy Willis, and Roger and Cindy Custer. on June 16, 1999.1

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Shaw Hundley; one son, William "Bill" Hensley Hundley III, and Cindy Nash of Greensboro; one brother, Dr. Ralph Hundley of Indianapolis, Ind; four sisters, Mary Simpson of Roanoke, Va., Norma Akers of Raleigh, Peggy Langford of Vienna, Va., and Dorothy Straightift of Wilmington, Del; three grandchildren, Martin Hundley, Elliott Hundley and Cindy Wilson; two great- grandchildren, Kayla Wilson and Hayley Wilson; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby and Robert Robertson of Roanoke, Va; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Forbis & Dick Funeral Service North Elm Street. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Raymond “Wacky” Robertson and her only child, Daughter Sherry Lee Robertson Lockhart. She was also predeceased by her sister, Virginia “Ginnie” Shaw Hundley and her husband Bill. Left to cherish her memory are her brother-in-law, Robert W. White of Blountville, TN; sister-in-law Rosalie “Rosie” Robertson of Roanoke, VA; nephews, Timothy “Tim” White and his wife Penny of Blountville, TN, Tom Philpott and his wife Carolyn of Vinton, VA, Bill Hundley of Greensboro, NC, Michael Robertson of Roanoke, VA, Gerry Philpott and his wife Sherry of Johnson City, TN; nieces, Pam White Manuel and her husband Bud of Blountville, TN, Michelle Robertson of West Virginia. She leaves many other dear family members scattered throughout Virginia and the entire United States, as well as numerous beloved friends including her goddaughter, Michelle Allie. Mrs. Robertson was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She retired as an Assistant Vice President and branch manager for First Federal Savings and Loan. She was a long-time member of Oakland Baptist Church. Services for Mrs. Robertson will be private with burial at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank Berkshire Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Mrs. Robertson.6 She was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N.      Lou Emma Hungate Lou Emma Poff, 86, of Floyd, VA went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 4, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Vesta (Smith) Hungate; and sister, Mary Alice Hungate. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, W. Clyde Poff; son, W. Ralph Poff (Angela); granddaughter, Shawnee Poff; grandson, Jeremiah Poff (Valerie); step-grandson, Lucas Graham (Kayla); two precious great-granddaughters, Valynn and Jolene Poff. Lou was a nurse for over 50 years and is most remembered for her kindness and caring for others. She was a cherished member of Grace Baptist Church, where she attended, until her health declined. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kathy Hall for her loyal care over the last several years and the staff of Kindred Hospice for all of their care and compassion for the past 22 months.3 She was buried at Jacksonville Burial Ground, Rt. 8, 0.25 miles south of Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.3 She was born on January 26, 1936 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,4 She married William Clyde Poff, son of William Clinton Poff and Minnie Avis Bell, on December 20, 1963 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,3 As of December 20, 1963,her married name was Poff. Lou Emma Hungate died on February 4, 2022 at Virginia at age 86.3

     Rodger Clinton Poff Rodger Clinton Poff of Check, Virginia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2022. Rodger was born on November 4, 1953 to Clinton and Avis Poff. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Avis Poff; his sister, Goldie; and his sister-in-law, Lou Poff. Rodger is survived and missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Bonnie L. Poff; his children, Kathy King (Charlie Abb), Crystal Poff, Tina (Louis) Escobedo, Brad (Solange) Poff; grandchildren, Kimberly (Brian) Beeghly, Joseph (Heather) King, Matthew King, Nathaniel Escobedo, Maggie Escobedo, and Sophia Poff; great-grandchildren, Holden Beeghly, Ella Beeghly and Owen King. Rodger is also survived by brothers, Clyde Poff and Thomas (Ardella) Poff as well as nieces and nephews. Rodger was the happiest when he was surrounded by family and making everyone smile. He will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to have known him. Until we meet again, we will hold you in our hearts and take care of mom for you.4 He was born on November 4, 1953 at Virginia.3 He married Bonnie Lou Houchins on August 29, 1975 at Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.3 Rodger Clinton Poff died on December 29, 2022 at Virginia at age 69.4
