Wayne Michael Hartman Sr. was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.1 He was born on May 12, 1949 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2 He married Virginia Loraine "Sissy" Yates, daughter of Abner Garland Yates and Virginia Craig Troutt, on August 9, 1966.3,4,5 Wayne Michael Hartman Sr. died on March 16, 2023 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 73.1 He Wayne M. Hartman Sr., May 12, 1949 - March 16, 2023. Mr. Wayne M. Hartman Sr. of Salem, Virginia, closed his earthly eyes awoke in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Hartman Sr. and June Hartman; brothers, David Jr., Ricky, and Gene Hartman Sr; and sister, Bonnie Abernathy. Wayne's legacy will be cherished by his loving wife, Virginia "Sissy" Hartman; son, Wayne Hartman Jr. (Sarah); grandchildren, Shaye Chocklett (Matt); great-grandchild, Abel Jaxson Chocklett; special friends, Woody and Dell Wellons, Kenny Parrish; Donna Gray, who had a special bond with her former father-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. on March 19, 2023.1

Michael Edmund "Mike" Ferguson was born on November 4, 1947 at Roanoke, Virginia.3,4,5 He married Linda Grace Yates, daughter of Abner Garland Yates and Virginia Craig Troutt, on May 24, 1969 at Bedford Co., Virginia.1,2,3,4,6 Michael Edmund "Mike" Ferguson died on February 23, 2022 at Virginia at age 74.4 He Michael E. Ferguson, November 4, 1947 - February 23, 2022. Michael E. Ferguson of Stewartsville, Virginia, went peacefully home to Jesus at the age of 74 on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, after battling cancer for over a year. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.T. "Buddy" Ferguson Jr. and Frances Austin Ferguson. Mike is survived by Linda Yates Ferguson, his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 52 years; his son, Kevin Michael Ferguson; daughter, Kelly Ferguson Lloyd and her husband, Tony; cherished grandchildren, Kayla Ferguson Lawhorn and husband, Chase, Carly Rae Webb, and Adelyn Grace Lloyd; and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Marie Lawhorn. He is also survived by his sister, Patti Ferguson Stockman and husband, Steve, of Houston; mother-in-law, Virginia Yates of Roanoke; numerous beloved brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Mike graduated from Staunton River High School, enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves in 1968, fought for a year in Viet Nam, and was honorably discharged on July 4, 1973. This was an appropriate date because he was a proud patriot who loved his country until the day he died. He worked as a journeyman electrician as a member of Local IBEW 637, retiring in 2006. Mike was a lifetime member of Mays Memorial Methodist Church in Stewartsville where he faithfully served in their ministry filling backpacks for needy schoolchildren. Mike was an inspiration and servant to all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. on February 24, 2022.4
