Harold was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest M. Green. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Eloise Willis Green; his mother, Dessie Dickerson of Check; his grandmother, Vinie Sloan of Salem; four daughters, Carolyn Green, Lois Hatcher, Regina Kay Snyder and husband, Barry Snyder, and Robin Starnes and her husband, Bobby, all of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Robert "Junior" Starnes, and Amanda Kay Hatcher; one sister, Gladys Nichols of Callaway; three brothers, Roy Green of Floyd, David Green and James Green, both of Check; numerous nieces and nephews; and a faithful dog, Rocky. Harold will be sadly missed by many. Burial will be at Monte Vista Church of the Brethren Cemetery. on January 27, 2001.²

     Robert Worley "Bob" Blankenship Robert "Bob" Worley Blankenship, 67 of Bolivia, passed away on March 18, 2019. Mr. Blankenship was born November 2, 1951 in West Virginia to the late Roy and Cathleen Dixon Blankenship. Bob was a motivated salesman in the electrical industry. He had refereed high school basketball for several years in Roanoke, Virginia. He also very much enjoyed reading, golfing, working out, driving fast cars, traveling and history. Most importantly he was a Christian. Survivors include his daughter Kristin Noel Heathcock and future husband David Childers of Ivanhoe; sisters Cathy Wilkinson Drummond and husband Jeff of Winston-Salem; Tammy Humphries and husband Larry of Roanoke, Virginia and several nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister Brenda Sue Blankenship; and a brother Kenneth Eulas Boyd.³ He was born on November 2, 1951 at West Virginia.^2,3 He married Katrina Lynn "Trina" Custer, daughter of Joseph Louis Custer and Dorothy Aberdeen "Deenie" Aldridge, on August 20, 1977 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 Robert Worley "Bob" Blankenship and Katrina Lynn "Trina" Custer were divorced on April 14, 1995 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁴ Robert Worley "Bob" Blankenship died on March 18, 2019 at North Carolina at age 67.³

     Jacob Valentine "Doll" Conner was buried at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 8838 Floyd Hwy N. US Hwy 221, Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.^10,6,11 He was born on November 3, 1879 at Floyd Co., Virginia; Even though his WWI and WWII Draft Registration cards, and death certificate, and gravestone have a birth date of Nov 3, 1880, Jacob was enumerated in the 1880 Census, therefore his birth year must have been 1879.^4,5,2,6,11 He married Mary Elizabeth Hill, daughter of John William Hill and Margaret Ann Walters, on January 11, 1900 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^6,8 Jacob Valentine "Doll" Conner died on January 8, 1961 at Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 81.^10,3,6,11 He FLOYD - Jacob V. (Doll) Conner, 80, died Sunday at the home of a son Guy B. Conner. Funeral will be at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren with burial in the church cemetery. on January 9, 1961.¹⁰

     Caleb Wayne Drewery Caleb Wayne Drewery, 25, of Roanoke, passed away, April 16, 2016. Caleb was a special person who was loved by many, and he will truly be missed. He was especially adored by his nephew, Mason McDaniel. He was a great sibling to his little brothers and sisters, who all looked up to him and affectionately, called him “KK.” Caleb was someone who was humble, hardworking, generous, and always willing to help those in need. Caleb was predeceased by his grandfather, George A. Woolridge; best friend, Jason McDaniel. He is survived by his mother, Debbie Byrd of Roanoke; father, Kenny Drewery, Sr. of Vinton; grandmother, Mary Woolridge , Wilbur and Etta Drewery all of Vinton. Sisters, Amanda, Meagan, Brianna, and Savannah; brothers, Kenny, Jr. and Logan; uncles, Darrell (Sharon) Woolridge and David (Sandi) Drewery; aunt Dreama (Billy) McDaniel; cousins, Dustin, Tyler and Trent; also many family and friends.¹ He was born on July 7, 1990 at Roanoke, Virginia.² He died on April 16, 2016 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 25.¹
